Shah’s Halal was established in 2005 with one food cart in Richmond Hill Queens on 121st and Liberty Avenue, and we’ve been tantalizing taste buds ever since. In 2016, we developed our first Long Island branch with the goal in mind of becoming, “the best Halal Food Restaurant in Long Island NY” and we’ve definitely grown a lot since then! We know our customers are just as passionate about great food as we are.

Everything was well when i got the food until i arrived back to work to eat and i noticed a small hair in my food. Took it out and put it behind something white so it’s easier to see (placed in the center of photo vertically). I was check NO: 45 and the time was 1/27/2026 1:27pm on the receipt. I often see hair in homecooked meals from my family so this isnt really a big deal for me but i still feel like its important to mention that this did in fact happen. I hope they make sure that this dosent happen again. I really liked the food and would want to eat again worry free.

I went to Shah’s Halal Food and got the chicken over rice OMG the food was sooo good. The chicken was fresh, juicy, and full of flavor, the rice was perfect, and the sauce took it to the next level. Great portion size and everything tasted super fresh. Easily one of the best halal spots in Stratford. I’ll definitely be back!

I’m extremely happy about this new location, I used to go to Bridgeport, they were so nice, they even wrote “him” so I can know which one is for me, I didn’t say anything, they heard me when I said “and for him”, what a nice touch from them! Good music, really quick and good quantity and quality. Very clean and neat. My new favorite spot!

Very Delicious Halal Restaurant!
After a long tough day, finding a good food Halal Restaurant is what we needed, and I’m happy I chose this restaurant.
This place opened recently.
It’s so clean, very well designed, it’s beautiful. A young girl and Mumin (a guy from Sudan) helped us with our order. They joth were very friendly and smiling despite the late hour.
So you choose your food type and extras (some for free and for little extra $) can be added on your plater which was something new for me in Halal food restaurants, because usually wenare buying pre-fixed platers. So, this feature was very cool.
I added fried sliced potatoes 5 pcs for 75 cents, and they were crunchy and very tasty.
I had chicken over rice, and my husband had lamb over rice.
Every piece of the meal tasted amazing, very delicious!
Next time in the area, I must stop by.

I like when this place first opened. They use to give you enough food for your money. I always ordered fish platter now they barely give you fish. Two little pieces. I guess they not new no more they stingy with the amount of food. And they attitude starting grow more and rushing you to order as soon you put one foot in the door smh.

Picked up an order of two platters: lamb and chicken kafta. Super clean restaurant, friendly staff. Got the food home, still nice and hot. Delicious. Beautifully seasoned, nice portions (I have leftovers) and a great addition to Stratford dining.

Excellent service. The food is delicious. Make sure to try the green sauce. If you like spicy food their red sauce is phenomenal. Yash and Mom were great and helped us decide what to order. We came back the next day! Definitely will be coming back

I just moved to Bridgeport about 3 months ago. This is the best meal I’ve had here. I got the platter with chicken & lamb with onions and hot sauce. 10/10 on the taste. The guy making our food was very nice and had a smile the whole time. Will be a weekly meal probably.

The gyro’s and rice plates hiiiit. It tastes fresh, veggies are crunchy. The sauces are really good too. I’ve really enjoyed the gyro’s especially, they’re filled generously and taste so good. I’m also a sucker for wings and I got a 6pc. They’re not fresh made wings but they have a good supplier lol
