Left Hungry and Very Disappointed 🙁
This was my fifth visit to Shah’s Halal in the past six months, but my first time ordering a gyro platter. Unfortunately, I was still hungry after finishing it. The server seemed quite stingy with the portions. If someone like me, who typically eats very little, feels hungry after a gyro platter from here, then it’s simply not worth the price. I won’t be ordering gyro platters from this location again.

This place is a must-try!
Hands down, one of the best chicken spots (I’ve had their Fried Chicken and Sandwich, but not the Gyro or other items) in the DMV area. The fried chicken and chicken sandwich were cooked to perfection – incredibly flavorful and juicy. I could taste the flavor all the way to the bone! I’m not sure why I wasn’t a fan of the seasoned fries; perhaps they lost their crispiness on the drive home. However, I loved all the sauces. The hot sauce has a nice kick, the white sauce is creamy, and the green sauce is refreshing. They all complement each other perfectly.
The restaurant is easily accessible with ample parking, and the dining area is clean and inviting. The servers were friendly.
A few minor suggestions for the manager:
Enhance customer service: Train servers to greet customers with a smile, engage with them while they wait, and remind customers to grab their drinks from the cooler if they ordered a combo meal (I forgot to get mine and had to buy soda elsewhere).
Improve takeout packaging: Include napkins, disposable utensils, and a printed menu in takeout orders.
Overall, this is a fantastic spot for delicious chicken.
Note: I went there again couple of weeks later. This time I had even better experience, seasoned fries were crispy and the salesperson was friendly/professional.

Went in the evening. Absolute garbage. Food mediocre at best. Portions; they give you the least amount possible. Service; some guy with a hat and curly hair (Jerry curl or mullet) with the most horrendous attitude I’ve ever seen made me feel so uncomfortable ordering. Will never get food again and will make sure to tell others to not have to experience what I went through. What a shame.

I usually enjoy Shah’s Halal, but this Springfield location disappointed me twice. The first time they gave the wrong sandwiches and the food was extremely salty. This time the staff were unprofessional and not paying attention to customers. The portion of meat was very small, the salad was watery, and the food tasted spoiled. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back to this location.

The Hispanic server with red and brown hair is so rude, always has her AirPods in everytime I’ve came here. I told her multiple times to add more chicken which she could not hear because she’s too busy listening to music rather than helping paying customers! She always give me attitude as if she’s the one paying for MYYY food and I asked for extra chicken but she puts one small scoop and says it’s company policy. WHICH IS A COMPLETE LIE IF I ASK FOR MORE CHICKEN GIVE ME MORE CHICKEN AND LET ME PAY FOR IT

My family and I were really excited to try this spot since we like supporting new local businesses. And the promise of halal chicken seemed very exciting! Unfortunately, we were left disappointed. We ordered to-go on a late Friday night. The young cashier at the counter wasn’t paying attention and seemed like she could care less about being there. We were waiting for our payment to show on the reader to process our payment, but the cashier ignored us and just kept talking to her colleagues. When we said something, she didn’t hear us. She didn’t process our payment until she turned her attention back to us. We ordered wings, kofta gyro, along with chicken and waffles. The wings were so underwhelming, as featured in the picture. We were shocked that these were wings. The wings and the chicken tasted like they were from 7/11 under the hot lamp all day— dry and unappetizing. My kofta wasn’t prepared as described either. I had 3 tubes of kofta rather than the chopped “small pieces” described and illustrated on the menu. I should have taken a pic but I was so hungry that I just ate it. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either because my gyro was drenched in sauce. As of now, I don’t anticipate going back. Maybe in the very far future I’ll consider trying again.

I have been to quit few locations of Shah’s but this location is not up to Shah’s standard , portions are less, acting weird for getting Sauces not talking about extra sauce that is extra $.50, the pakora had no breading it was light breading chips.I will definitely avoid this location.
