Shah’s Halal Food began in 2005 as a lone food cart in Queens, N.Y., and opened its first brick & mortar storefront in 2016. The menu includes chicken, lamb, falafel, kebab and fish platters, with basmati rice and a variety of sauces; gyros; cheese steak sandwiches; burgers; chicken nuggets; hummus; salads; baklava and much more!

Combo platter and lamb gyro. Both were AMAZING! Hard to find this amount of flavor in Evansville. Price was not bad at all. Hot sauce was definitely up there, so make sure you like spice if you add it. Definitely will be on the top of my lists for places to eat out here.

This is a great casual place to go with your family. They have really good sandwiches, platters, and desserts. The chips and fries are awesome and you get a lot of them. I highly recommend it!

I come to Evansville regularly for work.. and this was actually an UberEats order but I’m so glad I settled for this. Hadn’t had Halal in a very long time and this did not disappoint hence the photo. Just the minus two star because I wish more green sauce was included as well as in bigger sizes on the to go orders. I also didn’t receive the hummus of my hummus plate I’d pay the extra for bigger sauce sizes. Delicious though..

Got here last night. Who ever saw “lamb gyro” where the gyro meat is cut in cubes and mixed with sautéed onion?!?!? When dude said that they are from Uzbekistan, all came together. Meat was in covered tray, looked like it was cooked while ago. Usually, when a place serves any kind of gyro or shawarmas, they have the stand exposed and rotating. These guys cooked on griddle (their own statement) . Passed . This is just a quick buck place. Imitates Chipotle or Qdoba. Well , I don’t eat there either.
