Disappointed!!! Takeaway experience we won’t be having again…… it’s the 2nd time we have ordered lamb jalfrezi with only 4 chunks of lamb in! We loved the Jalfrezi sauce so we gave them a second chance, the first time we had such a stingy portion of meat. 2nd chance was the same -4 pieces of lamb in a curry is shocking!

All the food was tasty and I really enjoyed it- the only thing that wasn’t great was the lentil dahl, wouldn’t have that again, no flavour and too soupy, but otherwise an excellent meal! Thank you

One of the meal requirements in England is to eat authentic Imperial Indian food. You will not be disappointed at all! My friend had the Lamb stew, I had a chicken. For appetizers meat samosa in one of the best sauce, I have ever had. We had a potato Nan, and a fruit and nut Nan .

Had two take aways from this restaurant.One was cold when it arrived as driver couldn’t find address. The next had no salad or dip for the starter. So my guest had her main before the starter. Food is nice when it comes hot and on time.

Always a five star service from the Shahenshah, right from the off they make you feel at home, and they have done an excellent job on the décor, really brought it up to date in every respect, but what about the real reason you are reading this… the food! well I can only speak for the several times my family and I have been and it has always been spot on, I am a vindaloo man myself and this is probably in the top 3 I have ever had and I have had hundreds lol, my wife has the madras or the dansak and has never had any complaints, we always try to go first thing in the evening when it is quiet and so get quicker service and you can always have a bit of banter with the staff who do a great job. If you are a curry connoisseur like myself, get down to the Shahenshah and tell them Shaun sent you.

We have used twice recently as a take out and have found the food to be the best we have had. We use take out regularly but have been let down a few times so we tried Shahenshah as we had dined there a few years ago. The food is fab and we will definitely be using again.
