We were in and out in less than 40 min- the service is always fast and friendly. Nothing on the dinner menu disappoints and the ambiance has been updated to a modern look. Great patio seating and view of the lake out back.

While we love the owner- KS, the manager is very poor and that explains why the service is terrible as well. We have gone several times and were turned away. Most recently, last night when we walked in and the manager looks at us before the door even closed behind us “We’ve got a packed house tonight”. A good manager would say ” Welcome to Shady’s Sunset, let me check on a table for you otherwise we do have a few high tops open if that works”. There were at least 3 high tops open and while we did have our toddler, we could have made it work but the way he said it was super unwelcoming. In the past we have also waited over 20 min before even being served while one of the young servers was over hanging out with a high top of boys her age. Several other times we have been burned by this place — including our wedding! Save yourself the trip and go to any other Shady’s— same goes for wedding venue.

I cannot say enough about the incredible team at Shady’s Sunset Bay and the unforgettable Celebration of Life reception they created for my mother. From the moment we began planning, they showed compassion, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help us honor her memory in a meaningful way.
They graciously met with our family before opening hours to plan every detail of the event. Their warmth and understanding made a difficult time feel more manageable, and we immediately knew we were in good hands. The food was absolutely delicious—beautifully prepared and enjoyed by all our guests.
What truly stood out was the staff. Every person we encountered was kind, hardworking, and sincerely dedicated to making sure we had everything we needed. They weren’t just doing a job—they clearly cared, and that made all the difference.
