I keep trying to get back here to try more menu items ever since learning Bruno runs the place. The guy that runs the place used to also run The Hub Supper Club and everyone likes and appreciates his ideas and menu items. It’s funny because I was looking at the menu and thought it was odd to see menu items you usually wouldn’t see unless you were in a metropolitan area perhaps, and I told the waiter and he said yeah that’s Bruno’s doing, he’s got a knack for this stuff and everyone loves the food. I asked if it was the Bruno I remember, and sure enough it was. So I wasn’t surprised to see a great menu once I knew who was behind it. From the outside it’s hard to tell what kind of place it is, I mean it’s connected to a gas station, so I was expecting some sort of truckers restaurant, but this is just a unique kinda place that’s its own thing. The inside is interesting and the specials are great. They honor military on Mondays with a free meal and drink which just happens to be the day I went in there the first time, so that hooked me also. The only reason I docked it a star has nothing to do with food or service, but I’ve noticed in the handful of times I’ve been in there now that they have their regulars it seems, and I’ve felt observed every time I’m in there like everyone stares. That’s nothing the restaurant can change, but it felt awkward each time, like I wasn’t welcome sorta feeling. I don’t think there’s a fix for that, but it won’t stop me from going again and again for the food.

I am a truck diver. I parked here at Shady Midway overnight. I had dinner at the dinner very good Ruben. Everyone was very friendly had good conversation. Staff was very kind do and excellent job. I will return when in the area. Nice place for a truck driver to park for the night.

Very good bar food and service. Bruno does a good job. Nice on the inside. Stiff drinks. Best place in that area that I have been too in awhile.

I had the rohde burger which was excellent and ham and cheese balls. My husband tried the mechanic burger and enjoyed that. Good, fast service as well!

Had a double smash burger and taco salad. Both very good. An excellent place to stop. Don’t let the exterior fool you. Much nicer inside.

First time here, was pretty great! Place was so clean and such a great atmosphere. Loved their fries, wings tasted like they were a day old ( you know when you reheat a baked potatoe and it don’t taste the same) but still edible. Hope to be back again bought me hat too!!

The foods was amazing 10/10 I had the Cadillac on a bunch and it was amazing one of the best burgers I’ve ever had and the service was very quick the pollo loco on Texas toast was very filling and the loaded potstoe wedges were phenomenal
