Huge buffet that serves hundreds at a time. You might have to stand in line to pay to go in but the line moves fairly quickly. The restaurant has always been clean every time we’ve been there. Many, many items on the menu. And plenty of different drink options. No alcohol. Lots of dessert items and ice cream is available. Tons of parking including spots for buses.

We went for dinner and for an adult it was $30.03.
There is a huge gift shop downstairs with tones of unique items.

On the last Saturday of the year, we went to this buffet.
We waited less than 15 minutes.
It was $35 per person for the lunch-and-dinner menu.
The variety of food was excellent and there was a lot to choose from.
We started with the proteins and main dishes — the pizza, burgers, steak, and brisket were all great. Then we had the fresh, diverse salads, and after that the desserts.
The coffee selection wasn’t very big, and the sodas and drinks were too sweet for my taste, but the fresh juices were amazing.
Downstairs there’s a big gift shop. The items aren’t necessarily local, but on the left side there’s a section with Amish products that I highly recommend.
I recommend going before 1:00 p.m

This is really a huge restaurant with lots and lots of great food. You stand in line to pay and then proceed to another line to be seated. The food is fresh and good quality. Sodas are included. The gift shop downstairs is also worth visiting. It sometimes gets very crowded.

Very surprised by the selection and how good the food was! One of the best buffet I’ve been to which makes sense since it’s the largest in the country.

Had no issues with anything during my visit tons of food options from pizza to seafood to vegetable all delicious. Service was great to lady was nice and other staff members. Some stuff is freshly made and cut for you like the burgers and brisket. They also have ice cream like soft serve and milkshake plus slushie and soda you can get yourself. Tons of seats for people to sit.

When you’re done eating they have a really big gift shop downstairs which I’d almost call it a store all by itself how big it was lots of Crafted items and other unique things to find.

If you’re able definitely worth checking it out much different experience compared to any buffet you been to.

Excellent experience! First time there, had to pay a visit after reading some reviews and comments on Insta. I wasn’t disappointed at all. Huge buffet lots of selections of meat, desserts, and vegetables related items. Plenty of drinks as well. The lady cutting the brisket was very nice. Many folks working there were cool. Love the black cherry soda sweetened by sugar cane. We were seated right away. Sad I didn’t got to try the shoofly pie, but was pleased with the Chocolate pecan pie and the Keylime pie! My favorite meat was the brisket and the sweet chilli wings. In a matter of fact, everything is ate was delish! Highly recommend. Oh! Did I mentioned the nice artworks within frames? Beautiful! There’s a nice model of an old Mercedes too.

Wow is all I can say. Arrive hungry and be ready to eat a lot. We ate on a Thursday so we had the BBQ and wings. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Lots of choices and something for everyone. Leave room for dessert, because it is delicious. Don’t forget to go downstairs shopping.

Shady Maple Smorgasbord has been on my must try list for a year or so.

While in Amish Country, I mapped out a whole day around my visit.

Upon arrival, the line moved quickly. I spent 30 minutes in line before being seated. Most of that time was in the shorter line after payment and prior to being seated.

Customer service was friendly, the flow of food was good with the buffet having a repeat of the same food on the opposite side of the buffet area. They also have menu items that are limited time offerings.

After sampling small portions of most of the food, my favorites were the broasted chicken, homemade desserts, and Harvard beets. The rest of the food was just ok for me.

I grew up going to Amish country in Ohio and I loved the freshly made foods. This experience didn’t feel like the food was made with the same level of made from scratch food.

I’m glad that I experienced the largest buffet but I’d skip it next time I’m in the area and go for a restaurant with less size and more seasoning in their food.

Heard this was the biggest buffet in the country and it was no lie. Smorgasbord it definitely is. All of the food is good. The staff was extremely helpful in guiding us around. A little tip, pace yourself and experience the food and the atmosphere, it’s definitely an overwhelming smorgasbord of food. The register line may be long, but it moves pretty quick. If your still not patient enough, you can always get there early. A must stop, eat and experience. Then afterwards go down stairs and take a look at the huge gift shop.

This is a very good buffet with lots of different choices and selections. And so many beverages to pick from as well. The staff is exceedingly friendly and nice, and we went on prime rib night and the prime rib was very good. Definitely makes it worth the price. Please note that on Wednesdays that veterans and service members get a decent discount.

I look forward to coming back to try out their breakfast at some point. Definitely worth a drive!
