We kicked off our southern road trip with a visit to this adorable little spot, and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and comforting in all the right ways. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which instantly set the tone for the rest of our journey. It was the perfect first stop, and I’m so glad we found it! If you’re ever in the area, definitely worth checking out.

The food was good. The presentation of the sandwiches could gave been a little better instead of looking like it was just cut quickly, throw on the plate and move to the next order. The nachos were great.
It is nice to find a place open on a Monday. We had a quiet corner table, which was nice. But there was a draft from the entrance door every time it was opened. The server was pleasant and knowledgeable, but it was sparce and felt a little forgotten about. nice two level bar restaurant. I was a bit confused about if you were disabled and how you would use the restroom because I was directed to the second floor.

Nice cozy spot in the heart of Shadyside to grab a bite at! We’ve been here a few times for lunch and the fare is pretty decent as are the prices. There is also an upper level and outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Very friendly service and in a great location. Would recommend!

Shady Grove is a vaguely confusing space, but keeps it open to a lot of people. The interior and staff very much gives late night dinner/bar spot, the clientele is a range from college kids to older Walnut Street customers, and the menu prices are pretty expensive for what you get. I was pretty happy with our food, our bruschetta was really good, my burger was actually really awesome, and the Caesar salad was huuuuge. However, service was semi-slow, everything was just a little sticky, the lighting was weirdly bright in some spots, and the music was kind of loud for an afternoon. Probably just not my vibe, would be great for a lot of people and probably is fun to drink at!

The Shady Grove is a shadyside staple! This restaurant is consistently delicious with a large menu to choose from. Their pizza is tasty. The shady burger is one of my favorites but it can be a little messy to eat. Their fries are crispy and their sweet potato tots are worth the try. They have a decent draft selection and happy hour drinks.

Really good food!! The French onion soup was sooo good. The vibe was really nice and chill and would be a nice place to hang with friends! Prices are pretty reasonable for Pitt.

Best burger I’ve had in Pittsburgh so far! I had the Shady Burger. Atmosphere wasn’t too crazy pretty laid back. Music had mostly 90s R&b it’s really a vibe both young and old can enjoy, the bartender was very kind and very attentive.

Came to shop on Walnut Street and enjoy some local fare. The food was excellent and there are lots of great options. The service was on point and we ate outside since the weather was perfect. There is off and on street parking available within a short distance. Definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.
