Great little country store and cafe!
If you grew up in the 1980’s or before this is exactly what you think of as the local county store. Food is awesome!!! Found this place and came back every day of our job.

The food is just so good. The service is phenomenal. They where so nice. The sour dough is very savory. The shade isn’t just a restaurant. It’s also a feed store, bait shop, hardware store, and corner store!

Don’t take your service animal they will start yelling at you if they poop outside and then go inside and keep talking about it and yelling about it inside so you can hear them outsideand then refuse to let his service animal in, that’s what they did to my husband and he even cleaned it up, then they threatened to call the cops on him for no reason and took him service animal papers and had no right and refused to let his service animal in no matter what and he went back 2 months later and they started talking trash to him again after I walked outside and made him take down his review and read a threatening letter from the saying they are going to investigate your disability and your service animal Credentials if you dont remove your review after he spent 70.00 after eating with me and child….they are pure trash we no longer go and refuse to give them any of our business and FYI I always got sick after I ate the food they made. Here is my is review for all to see.

The shade grocery has been n existence since before I was born. As a small child I can remember saw dust floors and a pop top parking lot with old lift handle gas pumps. Mr. Herring always had the smell of freshly cooked bacon on my early morning visits with my mom. Just like people everything changes. The store has been remodeled and it has changed owners but the quality of food and service has never changed…. It has the best and freshest food around .. the service and atmosphere makes you feel at home. I give shade grocery five stars! Check it out!
