This place is really busy. Definitely a great place to eat. Alot of choices to put into your soup. I choose the sukiyaki broth. You can also mix your dipping sauce for your meat. We selected beef. Make sure you put your name on the check in list online or kiosk on the outside. Enjoy, Kudos to the staff and management.

If you’re craving hot pot, this is the place to be. Love the salad and seafood bar. Lots of options! Be prepared to line up though. We waited for over an hour to get our table but good location being in the mall. You can shop while you wait. Love the individual hot pots so you don’t all have to have the same broth. Our server was really efficient and good. He was always coming around asking if we wanted more meat. I would definitely go again.

A very nice hot-pot restaurant. As most, there are plenty of vegetable, noodle and protein options. They do offer three varieties of chicken karaage as appetizers. Service was fast and friendly. I’ve been here several times and it seems that no matter the time of day, there is always some kind of wait. I still believe the wait is worth it for the price.

December 2025 Shabu Shabu restaurant with an affordable all you can eat price point with a reasonable variety in ingredients.

As far as Shabu Shabu restos go this place is pretty popular especially with its prime location within the mall. The place isnhige and can handle large crowds.

Quality wise ingredients are fresh and sans the meats are arrayed in a central island Ala buffet style. Meats are then on a per request format which makes service staff very attentive and prompt.

Variety of ingredients are basic food groups but are in fresh condition.

The place is mostly crowded and you may have shared group seating.

I visited Shabuya at Ala Moana and it turned out to be a great spot if you enjoy Japanese-style hot pot and interactive dining. The restaurant focuses on shabu-shabu, where diners cook thinly sliced meats and vegetables in a simmering broth directly at the table.

The experience begins by choosing your broth and protein options. The thinly sliced beef is one of the highlights. Because the slices are cut so thin, they cook almost instantly once dipped into the hot broth. The texture stays tender and the flavor comes through clearly without needing heavy seasoning.

Another standout feature is the ingredient bar. The restaurant offers a wide variety of vegetables, noodles, tofu, and other hot pot ingredients that you can add to your pot throughout the meal. This allows you to customize the balance of meat, vegetables, and noodles depending on your preference.

The dipping sauces also play an important role in the experience. Combining different sauces and seasonings adds another layer of flavor and lets you adjust the taste as you cook.

The atmosphere is lively but comfortable, especially when dining with friends or family. Hot pot restaurants naturally encourage conversation since everyone cooks their own food and shares the experience around the table.

Service during my visit was efficient and organized, especially with keeping the broth refilled and clearing plates as the meal progressed.

Overall, Shabuya offers a satisfying shabu-shabu experience in Honolulu with quality meats, a good variety of ingredients, and a fun interactive dining format.

I like to enjoy my pint of beer before any food, but after ordering my draft Kirin beer, I had to wait for 15 minutes until the bartender delivered it to me.

Also I didn’t know there is a time limit of 1.5 hours for the All-You-Can-Eat, so I wasted 15 minutes waiting for my beer instead of eating.

Variety of food is very good, I especially like the amount of veggies on the buffet table. Sliced meats are delivered to the table, but I would say that they are razor thin.

The wait was definitely on the longer side. Thankfully, the servers were calm, efficient, and seemed to have everything under control, which helped make the wait more bearable. The service was excellent throughout—friendly, attentive, and well-organized. If you’re planning to go, I highly recommend making a reservation through the Google link rather than just walking in—it felt like doing that could easily save you around 30 minutes. Once seated, the food was totally worth it—super fresh and delicious. The original broth is great, full of flavor without being overpowering. The lively vibe with K-pop playing in the background really adds to the fun atmosphere.

Finding a truly satisfying restaurant in Hawaii can be hit or miss, but Shabuya is definitely a place worth visiting. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and they offer a great variety of meat options.
What I loved most was the buffet-style vegetable bar and the wide selection of sides. They even have plenty of Kimchi! I highly recommend making 칼국수 with the various noodle options at the end—it was delicious.
The pricing is very reasonable considering the quality and quantity. If you’re looking for a break from heavy local food and want something fresh and comforting, this is the place. Highly recommended!

First time coming here and it was awesome !! Very intimate with everybody getting to cook their own shabu shabu with their own choice of broths. The ingredients had a huge variety of ingredients like seafood and veggies, plus all the meats were great and all you can eat !! So good for $32 or less per person (depending on lunch or dinner). Highly recommend!
