Cooking the ingredients right at the table added an interactive and fun element that made the meal even more memorable. Overall, Shabu Town delivers a perfect combination of excellent food, great service, and inviting ambiance. It’s a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious and engaging dining experience. I’m already looking forward to my next.
I will say this is one of my personal favorite AYCE hot pots in town. I feel that food is up to the person eating it and the flavor is what matters, so for me this place is very easy to adapt to your taste. The soups base does feel generic but that’s the beauty of it because you can customize your sauce add it to hot pot and change it how you like it, saltier, spicier, sweeter, etc. The food options are vast and easy to find on their buffet bars. The meats are easy to order and the waiters check on you often to ask if you want more meat or drink. 4/5 on the food choices.
Service has always been great every time I have come here to eat. The waitstaff clears empty plates once they see you have several on your table and always ask if you want more meat when they pick up your empty plates. One of my ways I judge waiters is how often I have an empty water glass, and this place never lets me get to empty. They offer more broth at no extra cost when you are low. 4/5 service.
Atmosphere is from an older building you can tell they’ve been through a lot. I believe they opened up during the pandemic or even before. But the eating area remains clean, bathrooms clean, tables always clean, buffet area clean even when people spill on the edges. Best part is I can still have a conversation with friends and not feel like I’m yelling across a table. 4/5 atmosphere.
Plenty of spaces and plenty of parking.
Huge place. Needs a lot of work probably not correctable. Zero ventilation. I smelled so bad had to change plans and go home after. You will smell like you were in a forest fire.
The meat is good but slide super thin. Way too thin. The sauces need a lot of work. Really bad. I gave up and used no sauce.
Limited fruit. No deserts other than generic ice cream not great.
It needs a good side bar. Too many vegetables and not enough sides. The kimchi was awful that’s a big problem. Sour. Not fresh. Not spiced well. Sorry.
Price isn’t bad lunch looks priced very well. I’d rather pay more and have better quality.
Huge place. Not many customers. Smells bad. Beats good sides not so good. Individuals pots which is a plus and minus. They charge to change the pots they do get kind of gross at the end.
I can’t return too many better places
