My visit to Shabu Town was an absolute delight from start to finish. The restaurant offers an impressive selection of fresh ingredients, high quality meats, and flavorful broths that make the hot pot experience truly enjoyable. Each bite was rich, balanced, and full of freshness a clear reflection of their attention to quality and detail. The staff were exceptionally attentive and welcoming, ensuring that our table was well taken care of throughout the meal. They took the time to explain the menu and made great recommendations, which added to the overall experience. The atmosphere was clean, modern, and comfortable.
Cooking the ingredients right at the table added an interactive and fun element that made the meal even more memorable. Overall, Shabu Town delivers a perfect combination of excellent food, great service, and inviting ambiance. It’s a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious and engaging dining experience. I’m already looking forward to my next.

Worse hot pot I have ever eaten. We ordered the miso soup and it tasted like water. We had to put a lot of sauce for the soup to have some kind of flavor. Very little variety of side dishes to add to the soup. The meat is sliced very very thin like paper. I would not recommend this place at all!

I found this spot about 3 years ago and have frequented it many times over the years. Just getting around to leaving a review.

I will say this is one of my personal favorite AYCE hot pots in town. I feel that food is up to the person eating it and the flavor is what matters, so for me this place is very easy to adapt to your taste. The soups base does feel generic but that’s the beauty of it because you can customize your sauce add it to hot pot and change it how you like it, saltier, spicier, sweeter, etc. The food options are vast and easy to find on their buffet bars. The meats are easy to order and the waiters check on you often to ask if you want more meat or drink. 4/5 on the food choices.

Service has always been great every time I have come here to eat. The waitstaff clears empty plates once they see you have several on your table and always ask if you want more meat when they pick up your empty plates. One of my ways I judge waiters is how often I have an empty water glass, and this place never lets me get to empty. They offer more broth at no extra cost when you are low. 4/5 service.

Atmosphere is from an older building you can tell they’ve been through a lot. I believe they opened up during the pandemic or even before. But the eating area remains clean, bathrooms clean, tables always clean, buffet area clean even when people spill on the edges. Best part is I can still have a conversation with friends and not feel like I’m yelling across a table. 4/5 atmosphere.

A lot of options and their house sauces are good!!! The place is new and super clean. Servers are very attentive and the meat came out very quick. The broth is pretty light but you can add ingredients and spice to your taste. We had the original, sukiyaki, Thai and Mala broth.
Plenty of spaces and plenty of parking.

I’m blown away at the number of good reviews. Maybe these people have not been to other similar Shabu restaurants.

Huge place. Needs a lot of work probably not correctable. Zero ventilation. I smelled so bad had to change plans and go home after. You will smell like you were in a forest fire.

The meat is good but slide super thin. Way too thin. The sauces need a lot of work. Really bad. I gave up and used no sauce.

Limited fruit. No deserts other than generic ice cream not great.

It needs a good side bar. Too many vegetables and not enough sides. The kimchi was awful that’s a big problem. Sour. Not fresh. Not spiced well. Sorry.

Price isn’t bad lunch looks priced very well. I’d rather pay more and have better quality.

Huge place. Not many customers. Smells bad. Beats good sides not so good. Individuals pots which is a plus and minus. They charge to change the pots they do get kind of gross at the end.

I can’t return too many better places

When we entered the the restaurant, it was very clean. We were see it by the hostess who was very very nice. Our first impression was that there was so much variety and that the place was very clean. There’s a wide variety of vegetables and seafood. And if you want meet they will bring it out as you need it. That’s all-you-can-eat at one price. I highly recommend. It was very delicious. You can customize your own sauce and broth if you want. And everyone gets their own hot pot which is very unique. Most other hot pot places I’ve been to have one huge pot in the middle of the table. It is family-friendly and very inviting. Me and my friends had a wonderful time. Lunch is about $22 a person and dinner is about $32 a person. But it is all you can eat. And it’s worth it.

Thursday night was a nice calm night to come to this place. The service was very nice and attentive. The grilling side was more crowded than the hot pot side, but the hot pot side is much larger. They have a large room for parties in the back that could probably hold about 30+ people.

This place is a hidden gem. We love the variety of the seafood. Shrimps were super fresh. If you are not afraid of taking off the shrimp heads by yourself, then this place fits you well. They have different kinds of slice meat. Some people love the lean ones, meanwhile some people love the juicy ones. They have all the selection for the different meat lovers. They also have a variety of vegetables and mushrooms. They have more different types of vegetables than other hot pot places I have ever been in Houston. Recommend for the people who love meats and who love to eat healthy.

The food was so good! The service was even better! For the price of the meal you get really good quality meat, sides, and add-ins. All the workers were super sweet and attentive. Even if this is your first time having hot pot or Korean bbq the workers make sure everything is to your liking and makes sure your experience is the best it could be. I would 100% come back with friends and family.
