Authentic Japanese Shabu shabu. We didn’t make a reservation, ended up having a seat with another group. But it’s fine. We ordered prime beef and come with some veggies. They taste fresh and delicious. The matcha ice cream is light and creamy!

Authentic Japanese cuisine served up by helpful and attentive staff. We were novices to Sukiyaki but the servers made sure we were well taken care of and guided us along. This is a place to share food, a place to have a slow meal, a place to have great food.

Food: food is average and nothing special, but highly over-priced. One particular dish tasting good is the grilled Wagyu, with a special dipping sauce served. However, its price is $45, but only serves 8 small slices.

Experience was good overall. Seemed like the place tried to be authentic Japanese, but had some Asian fusion. Meat was really good, better than most American places. However many Korean BBQ and other Japanese places have better. That being noted, I think the price point of this place is actually very good. For the price you pay, I think the quality is adequate.

I came here with family for my mom’s birthday and we all enjoyed ourselves. The food here was mouthwatering. The meat were cut so thinly, it had light and airy texture. The seafood were fresh. My favorite was the Wagyu Rib Eye Beef, i highly recommend it.

I recently visited this restaurant with high hopes but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory due to the incredibly poor service I encountered. The behavior of the servers was nothing short of rude. Even though it was only around 9 pm, a reasonable hour for dining, the staff started whisking away our plates while we were still in the process of enjoying our meal. Even after we reminded the servers several times, they insisted on doing so. Moreover, when my party requested a table switch to indoor dining, no one attended to our request. These impolite acts made us feel rushed and unrespected.

A cloudy day with rain was perfect for a sukiyaki dinner. Seating both indoors and outdoors, we were able to find a table for two without a reservation around 6 PM, although for later it’s highly recommended to reserve. The waiters were very observant and we never had to wait long. The sukiyaki broth was very deep and flavorful and the ingredients were fresh. We had the wagyu and ribeye which were amazing, and absolutely worth the price. The tea was very good as well and perfect for the chilly day. Absolutely would come here again.

We visited Shabu-Tatsu East Village as a group of four for their Sukiyaki and the experience was decent. The decor was authentic but narrowed-spaced and not ventilated. This was our only complaint since it was really smoky even though the smell was good in the restaurant.
