I would say that I’m a bit experienced when it comes to hot pot restaurants.
Not by personal preference, but because my dad really likes wagyu beef.
And if you’re picking up the bill and you let me talk the whole time, then I’m fine if you don’t want to try the Liberian restaurant that I picked out.

We did the “All you can eat” option, which I think was $38 per person (I wasn’t looking at the prices very much ). Actually there were plenty of options for dietary restrictions in terms of broth choices, which I think is kind of uncommon for this style of restaurant.
There’s a fee if you don’t finish what you ordered for the all you can eat, but we didn’t have a problem with that (none of us ate lunch )

Menu highlights:
I liked the miso broth, the enoki mushrooms, and the fish balls with roe. My dad liked the spicy sichuan broth, beef belly, and wagyu.

Shack is an apt name for this restaurant. It seemed clean, reasonabke price for ayce about $40/person.

The sauce bar veggies were a bit wilted but edible.

There was a bug in the Napa cabbage they brought. They replaced it no issue. None of the veggies seemed super fresh. The enoki and spinach were wilted.

The meat was good quality, and I liked the sauce bar selection.

The server shut off my pot twice without asking if I was done before the 90 minute limit was up and I had just ordered tofu 10 minutes before hand.

Not a place I’d go back to but it did alright in a pinch.

We did the all-you-can-eat hot pot and were charged a $10 “waste fee” even though we ate all of the meat and vegetables. The only things left were noodles and broth — and one of the broths was genuinely unpleasant, which we told staff before finishing. We were told “there’s nothing we can do.”

I understand waste policies for excessive leftover food, but charging customers for uneaten broth (especially when one broth was not enjoyable) feels unnecessarily greedy. Broth isn’t something you can “pack up,” and penalizing people for not forcing it down is unreasonable.

For the price point, the ambience is bland and underwhelming. It doesn’t match what they’re charging — the space could be much nicer with minimal effort.

As someone newer to hot pot, the experience was also not welcoming. There was no guidance or explanation, and staff felt more judgmental than helpful when we had questions. If you’re new, don’t expect any kind of introduction or support.

Overall, between the rigid policy, lack of hospitality, and mediocre atmosphere, we won’t be back. I can make a better, more comfortable hot pot experience at home for $20 for me and my wife without feeling nickel-and-dimed.

Nothing beats a basic hotpot for lunch! I think it’s a great place to go on dates or lunch with friends. I like the concept of putting a stove in between the tables to keep the soup hot and boiling. Along with it, the noodles, vegetables, and meat are served individually with your choice of broth. I had a terrific time here, and I will definitely return.

Came here for a birthday dinner for our little family and we decided to order the AYCE. Everything was super tasty and the quality of the Wagyu was melt in your mouth. You can get up to 3 broths but our favorite was the Tonkatsu and Sukiyaki. You can also do individual entrees as well if AYCE isn’t your thing.

Love this little gem! I was new to hot pot. The first time the gentleman explained how to do everything. Since then we’ve been back a few times. Food and service is always good

Decent hot pot place, good meat and fresh veggies. Definitely order the large portion but overall nothing special about this place. Worth a try and I would come back.

Disappointed service. Only one waiter for 6 tables. Everyone was waiting food and etc. food was fresh and restaurant clean. Again, service was not good enough. I think they need at least two waiter or waitress. It was too much for him to handling 5-6 tables with big groups at busy dinner time. 09/24 @5pm
