I really wanted to love the food here, especially since it’s a Savannah institution. I will say that the people here are wonderful, and the service was blazing fast. Unfortunately, the food we got (fried shrimp, crab, pie) was just ok. Not phenomenal, not particularly fresh tasting. The shrimp was very salty and overcooked. I expected it to be seasoned, and it was, but the salt was extreme and took away from the seasoning. The shrimp was rubbery. The crab cake was very soft, very under seasoned, but with lots of bell pepper which made the taste kind of odd. The pie filling was delicious but the crust was very soft and soggy and the filling itself tasted a bit like refrigerator. All told not the worst meal I’ve ever had but not the best either. Perhaps it was just an off day. On another note entirely, the street can get pretty busy so expect noise. Plenty of parking, too.

The food is alright, not as impressed as tiktok made it to be. The juice is just kool-aid and very sweet, they charge extra for light ice. The fries are good tho. The crab cakes are ok. Not saying I wouldn’t here again just saying it wouldn’t be my first choice.

After hearing the hype of the establishment having the best fish sandwich in town, I decided to try it. It wasn’t horrible however I will not be back. Was it the best fish sandwich I ever had? Definitely not. However, it is the only fish sandwich I had with bones in the fish. Once I noticed I could not eat any more. Fries were just okay & the drink was watered down.

I’ve driven past this restaurant many times throughout the years but after seeing it on an episode of Netflix’s Fresh Fried and Crispy, I decided to finally stop by. I ordered the combination dinner with shrimp and fish. It was insanely delicious! I definitely plan on coming back! It was too hot to eat outside so I ate in my car. Very friendly people!

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent experience at your restaurant. I ordered a shrimp dinner, which I have had multiple times before, and instead received a fish dish. As I do not eat fish, this was a significant issue.
When I contacted the restaurant, I was met with defensiveness and a refusal to acknowledge the mistake. I was told that “they know what I was supposed to receive” and that they would not argue with me. This dismissive and argumentative response was unacceptable.
I have dined at your restaurant several times and have never encountered such poor customer service. I am deeply saddened by this experience, as I have supported your business in the past. I simply requested a remake of my order, which I believe was a reasonable request given the circumstances.

Recommended from Google as the best places to get fish and they were not lying. Drove 2hrs on a lunch trip to try it and definitely worth the trip. Fish is amazing, the fries (eat one there and one for the trip home) and the drinks are great as well.
