Visited on a saturday around noon, wasn’t to busy. We had the Soon-tofu beef & Soon-tofu dumplings on hot stone /plate. You get a raw egg on the side, which you put into your plate. We chose the level 4 spice however it wasn’t that spicy. Very nice lady who took our order. Coming back to try other dishes and flavors.

This was my favorite meal of my entire U.S. trip. I loved being able to choose the spice level and ingredients, and everything I picked matched my taste perfectly. I’ll definitely come back to try more dishes next time.

We had a great experience here! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The Beef Kalbi was perfectly marinated and tender. The Bibimbap came sizzling in a hot stone bowl, loaded with fresh veggies and savory beef, and the Soon Tofu Stew was rich, comforting, and had just the right spice. The side dishes were a great variety and very tasty. Service was fast and friendly—highly recommend for delicious and authentic Korean food!

This location is inside an HMart so it’s counter service. Very nice couple took our order- the hot stone bibimbop and the Beef short rib (LA Galbi). Oh and some fried dumplings. Everything was amazing. Will def be back and plan for some grocery shopping too!

Came across this market and was craving for Korean Short Ribs! The wait time didn’t take too long plus the benefit of waiting you can browse the market! Here is what we ordered.
Korean Short Ribs: A large portion! I was able to share this with another person since we ordered an appetizer as well. The short ribs was sweet and flavorful having a good amount of fat and meatiness!
Dumplings: Fried very well and the fixings inside had a little thicker clear noodles I believe but still flavorful!
Overall I’d certainly come back when I’m in the area again but might try their other locations!

To start, I like how the prices are reasonable, great portions, and the staff there is pretty friendly. The last time I went there I tried the LA Ribs, Kimchi Stew, and Soft Tofu soup and those were amazing. When I went there again I wanted to try something new this time around so I asked the staff what to order and they recommended pork belly and kimchi. After trying I also recommend the pork belly with kimchi as the pork belly was just so flavorful along with reasonable portions. 10/10 would recommend and go again.

Compared to the Tokyo Lunch Boxes and What A Dumpling, I would say this location of SGD Tofu and Bbq restaurant has great value. You get that tofu stew, a bowl of white rice, an egg to put in the tofu stew, and the 3 banchan dishes. Food quality was above par. Service was very friendly and fast. Since it’s in a food court, they have plenty of seating. Prices were fair and inexpensive.

We got the Beef Bento and the Vegetable Soon Tofu soup. Both were absolutely delicious. Service is excellent, and the staff have been like family to us. We have been here several times, and they treat us with kindness and respect. It is a food court stand, and despite this, is very clean.

My family and I recently moved to a place near H-mart in Niles location.
As SGD Dubu (so gong dong) can be found in many different locations in IL as it is a franchise restaurant, but! this SGD Dubu place serves the most well prepared and very delicious SGD Dubu soup the way it should taste.
I highly recommend this place and we will definitely visit again!!

This newly renovated stall at H Mart in Niles shows great deal of promise. Only tried tofu stew so far but it was flavorful. Given that its previous occupant wasn’t very good, it is already an improvement. So far so good.
