Pizza & pasta served in a romantic restaurant with an old-world feel & an outdoor patio.

Amazing Italian place on Pearl Street. We enjoyed the dinner. We walked in on a weekday night and got a table pretty quickly.
Ordered carne ravioli (special) and linguine scampi. But what really stood out was the meatball starter!
Carne ravioli was also good and nice portion. Very filling. Linguine scampi was light and refreshing.
Interior vibe is also very nice and unique.
Overall I feel this place is totally worth it and high value for the atmosphere, food and service. 10/10

What a great old school Italian restaurant right on Pearl Street. It’s like being in an Italian village with all the details. It’s got a fountain right in the middle. We had bottle service, apps and entrees and drinks all for a great price. They also have a pizza menu so two people could probably get dinner on the cheap.

We recently visited Sforno Trattoria Romana and had a pleasant experience. The restaurant does a great job creating a cozy, Italian-inspired atmosphere, with warm lighting and a rustic interior that feels welcoming. The staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home.
As for the food, it’s clear that the menu has been adapted for American tastes. While it doesn’t capture the exact authenticity of what you’d find in Italy, the dishes were flavorful and satisfying. The pasta was well-prepared, and the Roman-style pizza (Pinsa) was light and crisp. The house-made mozzarella was a standout, fresh and creamy, definitely worth trying.
Overall, Sforno is a solid choice if you’re looking for Italian-inspired cuisine in Boulder with reliable service and a comfortable setting. Just don’t go expecting an exact replica of a traditional Roman trattoria—it’s Italian-American at its best.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews to local businesses, but that was genuinely the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Everything was so dry, crispy crust, dry cheese with zero cream/sauce. Very disappointing, from other pictures they look capable of better and I guess my pizza was an exception, I hope.

Sforno is truly some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had—outside of Italy itself! Every pasta dish we tried was flavorful, hearty, and absolutely delicious. The Tortelloni, Bolognese, and Lasagna are my favorite dishes. We couldn’t get enough of the fresh bread with garlic, pesto, and olive oil and asked for a second basket.
Our server, Payton, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly a hard worker who added to the overall experience.
10/10 experience. Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic Food and Service. We came in as a 22 top and they handle us greatly. Food was sooooo good and the desserts were wonderful as well. Great atmosphere and scenic inside.

We were able to book a last minute reservation on a Tuesday night. The food was awesome. We loved our waiter and he was incredibly hard working. The minestrone soup was some of the best I’ve ever had. I appreciated their vegetarian options. Overall, it was a lovely experience. The interior was well kept, and it felt like we had stepped into a true Italian restaurant. I highly recommend!

We enjoyed lunch at this cozy & cute trattoria. The food & service were excellent. We were never rushed & were able to enjoy ourselves. We ordered the calamari & brussel spout appetizers. Our lunch choices included rigatoni, canneloni & spaghetti. All were delicious!
We will return to this trattoria.

A really cute atmosphere, servers were very friendly, the burrata was AMAZING!! The pasta was also super fresh and definitely seemed homemade.
But our entrees left something to be desired… my husband ordered the carbonara which was incredibly greasy from the bacon grease, and I had the cacio e pepe, which was more butter than cheese.
Maybe it was just an off night, maybe my standards are high cause I lived for 9 years in Italy, but the price wasn’t worth what we ate in the end.

I was questioning whether or not to come into this restaurant, but the random guy said you have to try it. Sat at the bar had a beautiful dish of Bolognese. This is my go to when I come back to Boulder.
