The menu can be a hit or miss. The steak isn’t very good, but the pasta and other Italian dishes are excellent. The appetizers are also delicious, and the cocktails are great. They don’t serve it here, but this place would be perfect with a Stone or Sierra Nevada IPA. I think it’s a great spot for people who love to drink.

This restaurant has some hits and misses on the menu. The steak isn’t very good, but the pasta and other Italian dishes are fantastic. The appetizers and cocktails are also delicious. For some reason, they don’t sell it here, but the food would be perfect with a Stone or Sierra Nevada IPA.

One thing to keep in mind is that the portions for the pasta and appetizers are quite large. It’s easy to finish everything without noticing—and your drink, too—so be careful! Even if you’re not staying at the hotel next door, it’s worth coming here to eat or ordering delivery. Just make sure you plan your ride home and schedule some exercise for the next day.

I ordered the same exact combo I ordered from the burger place a half a block up (bunz) which was a total nightmare. (Read review on their site). Complete opposite at seven seas cafe! I called it in and was told ten minutes and I guess this place knows how to tell time, ten minutes food was done, cook-manager pointed at ticket then at food, filled a nice little bag of condiments put it all together and handed it to me. All perfect so far. But I forgot to order drink so I ask for a soda. He fills one up and says “your good”. That just locked in my business and my friends and family for as long as we are in the area and since I’m extended stay next door, my $ goes here. Now I walk back open the bag and burger was hot, looked great, fries were hot and was delicious! I’m making this a big deal because I threw away everything from the other place. To this day no apology from them. Great job seven seas! I’ll be seeing you soon and often

I found a hidden gem on Hotel Circle while visiting Sea World at The Seven Seas Cafe! Staying at a nearby hotel with just basic “bar” food and lackluster breakfast options like burritos or egg sandwiches, my wife and I ventured out for something more substantial. I was craving a hearty omelette or French toast, and my wife just wanted a good cup of coffee. To our delight, we stumbled upon one of the best meals of our trip!
I ordered the California Omelette with wheat toast. It was piping hot, perfectly cooked, and paired with large slices of toast slathered in melted butter (no frozen packets here!). The only minor letdown was the avocado, which was more like guacamole, but the delicious, steaming coffee and stellar service made it easy to overlook. My wife had the Best Western Skillet, and raved about her perfectly seasoned breakfast potatoes topped with two flawlessly cooked fried eggs.
At 8 AM on a Friday, the cafe was surprisingly quiet with only four customers, including us. It’s tucked inside a Best Western, so I suspect locals don’t know about it, and tourists might not think to try a competing hotel’s restaurant. Their loss! This place is a must visit. We loved it so much we returned for dinner after Sea World and again for breakfast before our flight home.
My wife, who’s tough to please with restaurant food, especially eggs and toast, declared their fries the “best she ever had”. They were hot, crispy, and full of flavor, possibly cooked in tallow. They even stayed warm throughout the meal, which is rare! The service was exceptional, the food consistently amazing, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Do yourself a favor and check out The Seven Seas Cafe. You won’t be disappointed. Absolutely 5 stars!

A wonderful little diner located in the main building of the Best Western Seven Seas. The server was excellent – very polite and enthusiastic to be of service. Food was good and reasonably priced with the menu being a mix of typical diner fare, some Mexican, and a selection of pizzas. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed – perfect for a slow-paced dinner at the end of a hectic day and without having to leave the hotel if you’re staying there.

They have the worst time of business hours, while selling mostly breakfast food. They serve fries but don’t promote it or market it should I say. Its no where on the menu, I had to ask. And I wouldn’t be surprised if they served other foods that aren’t on the menu. And place has dirty mop smell, similar to every Denny’s I’ve been to, but lacks the smell of good food that Denny’s has.. On a side note, the fries were ok, nothing special.

I cannot believe the low ratings! This place is homestyle cooking at its best! Even the salmon, pizza, and fish and chips are crunchy and tasty! And the patty melt is divine. But the wings, they are OMG good. And if you are lucky enough to have Senod as your server, you will be treated like royalty! Pam’s drinks from Zack’s bar are also quite good and reasonable. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

This is the best place to eat. I come to San Diego every year and have breakfast, lunch and dinner here. Great food at awesome prices and the staff is excellent.

Food was good and all. Only thing I didn’t like really was the 5 dollar cup of coffee. Definitely wasn’t worth 5 bucks if you compare to other places.
