We were disappointed with our experience at Seven. Given the price point and its location in the heart of Reston, we expected exceptional food and service, especially on Valentine’s Day.
The atmosphere is intimate and beautifully designed, with a lovely lounge area. Being located inside a hotel, there is a noticeable hospitality-style layout when you walk in, which shapes the overall feel of the space.
The food tasted good, but it wasn’t particularly filling or memorable. For the cost, we expected more impact in both portion and overall experience. Service was inconsistent. A few staff members were warm and welcoming, but others did not reflect the level of attentiveness you would expect at this tier.
The restaurant clearly aspires to be upscale and top-notch, but during our visit, it felt more aspirational than fully realized. Perhaps it will improve over time, but unfortunately, we do not plan to return.

The food was absolutely horrible. I have never had such unappealing chicken prior to thsi experience. Than both my girls got grilled salmon with their crispy potatoes and were bith throwing up throughout the evening. I will note the server was friendly and the atmosphere is lovely but I will never eat here again.

My first visit to this restaurant and my last. The experience was complete lack of freshness; it was clear the food had been prepared hours in advance and left to sit. Specifically, the meats and sliced cheese on the buffet were unappetizing, with discolored, hardened edges.
For a first impression, it was highly off-putting and I will not be returning.
