Another memorable Fine Dining Experience. I had brunch at the beautiful Seven Reasons restaurant in DC and I wasn’t disappointed. I couldn’t fault any of the 3 courses. I ordered the Avocado Dip, Short Rib Arepa and not to forget the french toast “yummy goodness”. First time here and I shall definitely revisit.

I highly recommend if you want to experience Latin American cuisine.

Atmosphere & Service:
I’m really glad we chose to go to Seven Reasons. The interior is absolutely beautiful with lush florals and greenery surrounding the classic seating. As soon as we walked in, they kindly took our coats, which immediately elevated the experience. The service throughout brunch was attentive and accommodating, with our waiter making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed.

Food:
We came for brunch and ordered a couple of standout dishes. I started with the Venezuelan Crab Dip, made with Venezuelan jumbo lump crab, Chihuahua cheese, and served with house baguettes. It was rich, flavorful, and perfect for sharing!

I also ordered the Shakshuka with maitake-tomato ragu, two eggs, salsa criolla, and an arepa (without cheese and pork). The combination of flavors was bold and well-balanced and the arepa was a great addition for scooping up every bite.

Overall, the food was flavorful, beautifully presented, and satisfying. Between the stunning atmosphere, polished service, and creative brunch menu, Seven Reasons is definitely worth a visit in DC.

Seven Reasons—true to its name—reminds you that everyone comes to a restaurant for their own reason.

It’s the flagship restaurant (at least in my view) of a group that operates several uniquely distinctive restaurants across DC. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. Every course impressed, from the amuse-bouche to the beet salad, short ribs, and glazed carrots.
The absolute highlight was the dessert. Aptly named White Heavens, it truly lives up to its name.

A restaurant I would happily return to a hundred times.

Seven Reasons was an absolute experience from start to finish. The food, the atmosphere, and the energy were all on point but what truly made our night special was the service.

Marcus Zuzuki took incredible care of my friend and me. From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. His recommendations were spot on, the drinks were perfectly crafted, and he made us feel welcomed and celebrated the entire night. You can tell when someone truly loves what they do, and Marcus brought that energy to every interaction. He elevated our whole experience and made the night unforgettable.

If you’re coming to Seven Reasons, you’re already in for something special, but if you’re lucky enough to be served by Marcus, you’re in the best hands. Can’t wait to come back!

We had an incredible dining experience at Seven Reasons. The meal started perfectly with a fresh bread basket and their selection of meze — the muhammara was especially outstanding. For mains, we tried the lamb lo mein, which was tender and flavorful with absolutely no strong lamb smell, and the chicken and shrimp roulade, which was just as impressive. The drinks were on point, and the ambiance, décor, and service all added to the charm of the evening. The only small note is that the portions are on the smaller side, but that’s expected for fine dining. Overall, a beautiful experience through and through.

Steak and Caesar salad were great- service was excellent, and the space was really cute. The Arepitas were the stand out. Delicious! Salad could have used a little more sauce, and the falafel were over cooked – but I’d return! Great lunch.

I stopped by Seven Reasons for a solo brunch and ordered the Corn Pancake with Bacon — absolutely delicious! The corn pancake was fluffy inside and slightly crispy on the outside, perfectly balanced with the salty-sweet bacon. The presentation was beautiful too, and the portion was just right for one person. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with friendly staff who made me feel comfortable dining alone. Definitely one of the best brunch experiences I’ve had in DC — can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!

The butternut squash soup is INCREDIBLE. The flavor combos were super unique and every dish had stunning presentation making no course seem weak in my opinion. Hospitality and service were amazing. I dined here as part of a BILT dining experience but would happily pay to go back for restaurant week or a nice date night.

The only notes I could say are the chips that came with the beet hummus were a little too thick, was worried I might break a tooth haha. And the layered potatoes that came w my duck were a smidge undercooked.
