My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Settlers, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The atmosphere was warm and intimate, the food was absolutely incredible, and the service was thoughtful and kind. Booked a last minute reservation here and had an experience of a lifetime. The staff were so kind and worked together like a well oiled machine. Our server, Emma was fantastic and offered recommendations and treated us like we were regulars. The menu in October was a prix fixe menu and every item we ordered was perfect. I can’t emphasize enough how delightful the hospitality of the Settler staff was, it truly made the entire experience even better than if we just got good food. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Salem.

Absolutely best experience at the Settler for my partner and I’s anniversary! We felt so welcomed here and every single staff member was so friendly! I’m vegan with a dairy & apple allergy and they were SO accommodating with my allergies & dietary restrictions. They walked us through the menu and ensured what was safe for me to eat. I really appreciated the vegan options on the menu, as where my hometown is it can be difficult to find options for everyone. The food was so delicious and everything was so fresh. The aperol spritz are amazing as well. Absolutely recommend dining at the Settler!

Went to Settler for our anniversary. Food was excellent, but the service was impeccable. Something I would’ve expected from a restaurant with a star or two. Lots and lots of small details that I experienced and saw that really made their entire foh staff stand out. Service like that turns a wonderful meal into something so memorable.

One of the highlights for me is the fact that they have seasonal menus. It means they use local available products to create different courses. That is very nice!!
Besides that, the flavors were good. A little expensive for me, but it worths it and I would love to repeat / recommend it!

Where to start… This meal was one of the most expensive meals I have had for two… but man was it worth it. My wife and I shared chefs choice appetizer and 2 starter courses. These ranged from a amazing falafel, oysters with roe, mussels, and the best sour dough bread I’ve ever had.
What takes the cake were the mains, where my wife and I shared a NY strip perfectly seared to medium rare and the fresh caught Cod. The Cod was the standout it was so plump and full, had I not known what I ordered, I would never would have guessed it was Cod. This was on par with sushi in terms of freshness and it just just melted in your mouth like butter. 10/10.

This was one of the best dining experiences Ive ever had. The food was amazing, the vibe was immaculate, and the service was outstanding. Our server, Ellis, was incredible with recommendations and helping with my food restrictions – they even spoke to the chef and had something special made for me. The rest of the staff was also super attentive. 10/10, will be returning and recommending!!

I rarely leave reviews, but I had such a wonderful experience at Settler that I feel compelled! I came alone, sat at the bar, and received truly excellent service; the waiters went above and beyond. The recommended wine paired perfectly with my food (I got the chicken, with a side of crispy potatoes, and pistachio affogato for dessert), and every aspect of the meal was perfection. No notes, just an incredible meal.

What a great experience! We’re lucky enough due to my work to have experienced Michelin restaurants in the US, Europe and Australia (ok, hatted restaurants down there). Whether or not Settler gets their star, the experience is the same.
The food was amazing – portion sizes were great but not “over-stuffed” and the one list has a lot of fun options. We’ll be back soon!
