The Rasta pasta and curried chicken were absolutely delicious; perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and cooked just right. Every bite was satisfying and clearly made with care. The atmosphere was already great, but what truly elevated the entire experience was our bartender, Camryn. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcomed from start to finish. Her energy and service alone are reasons to come back. Because of the amazing food and Camryn’s outstanding hospitality, we will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

The ambience is amazing, service is not so pleasant with the waitresses. Since the new owners have been here the atmosphere is amazing, good music, and mature people. The service for food , needs improvement, it took almost 15 minutes to get some sauce that never came until we had to haunt down someone. The nachos was tasteless, the wings could have some more flavor. The Irie stickers were good.

Was invited for the happy hour scene and it did not disappoint at all! Prompt service, great portion & quality of my order. DJ’s present played good music, tying things together for those who weren’t watching games on the TV’s.

This place definitely did not meet expectations. I live in the neighborhood and came here on a Thursday night. It was Karaoke night, 2 staff/Bartenders, and about 8-10 customers in the bar area. We were greeted by one of the bartenders that took our drink order. My friend ordered a glass of soda water and they said the soda gun was not working. Then pulls an open, nearly empty bottle of tonic out of the bar fridge and said she didn’t know how long is was sitting there. The bar appeared to be stocked with nearly empty bottles. Instead of the bartender making my drink she started singing karaoke. Another bartender made it after I waited sometime. I ordered fried snapper and my friend ordered brown stew snapper. I asked the bartender if they had it in stock before ordering bc it appeared to be out of stock for online ordering (the fried not the brown stew). That should have been a red flag. I also noticed that no one else was eating in the bar area. It took about an hour for the food to come out and what was received was not how it was described on the menu. I received brown stewed snapper instead of fried, frozen fried rice (looked like trader Joe’s) instead of rice & peas, undressed salad instead of cabbage. When asked for dressing, the options that were presented were blue cheese and ranch which are wing sauces. We also ordered wings and everything appeared to be leftover and not make fresh. Some of the wings and the fish were extremely dried out as if they were premade and sat in a warmer all day. The other bartender was taking shots with a customer for most of the night. I paid with my inKind app and the bartender says “what about me?” Regarding a tip. We did tip in the app but was taken a back by her even mentioning it. I won’t be coming back here.

FIVE STARS!! Seta Oasis is exactly what DC needs. The venue is spacious and sophisticated, the food is delicious, and the staff are very welcoming. I went for dinner on a Friday night and started planning my next visit before I even left. The menu has something for everyone: vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, lovers of spicy food, and everything in between. There is a low-lit dining room, upstairs and downstairs bar, fully covered patio with lounge seating, and even a VIP room. I was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience and will be recommending to everyone! This will be THE PLACE to be in the summertime.

So excited to have a Jamaican bar and restaurant close to home. They offer both food and drink specials during HH Mon-Fri 4-7pm with reggae videos/music playing…discovered a few additions to my playlist. I had a drink at the bar and took advantage of the extended HH while waiting for our food to come out. I ordered the fried snapper with eskovitch sauce. The snapper was well seasoned and the rice & peas, cabbage, pickled onions, peppers and carrots were the perfect accompaniment. I really enjoyed my meal once I arrived home, but if I could have made one adjustment it would be to add more sauce but I think they wanted to make sure the fish didn’t get soggy as we ordered our food to go. The service was friendly and attentive. We were immediately greeted at the door upon entering and the bartender was quick to bring us the menus and provide a description of the drink offerings. I will definitely be back!!

This Jamaican-Nigerian fusion restaurant was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The food was bursting with flavor the perfect blend of rich African spices and bold Caribbean seasonings. Every dish was cooked to perfection and full of personality. The drinks were top-notch, refreshing, and beautifully made.

What really stood out was the hospitality. OB, personally greeted us and made us feel so welcome, like family. The chef even came out to check on our table, which made the experience feel extra special you can tell they truly care about their guests and take pride in what they do.

The atmosphere was lively, the music was great, and the entire vibe was unmatched. If you’re looking for good food, good drinks, and even better energy, this is the place to be. We’ll definitely be back!

The price for the portions are outrageous! Anyone charging $26 for a serving spoon of curry chicken better have some gold in that chicken! $34 for goat and $42 for oxtail is crazy!!! If you’re looking for a place to sit in with a nice ambiance then that’s exactly what you’re paying for here. Otherwise, checkout Spice located around the corner at 826 Shepherd St NW, Jam Doung at 1724 North Capitol St NW, or even Andrenes at 308 Kennedy St NW. Their food is amazing… minus the mac n cheese at Andrenes. I paid $45 for an entire half pan of curry chicken at Spice, and less than $50 for 6lbs of oxtail from the carribbean market (uncooked) located at 7505 New Hampshire Ave, Takoma Park, MD 20912. Thank me later!

I have visited Seta Oasis four times. The first two were fantastic with excellent food, great atmosphere, and attentive service (a solid 4.5 stars). Unfortunately, my last two visits have been deeply disappointing.

On my third visit, the server (Natasha) ran payment through a handheld device without providing a printed check. This hid the mandatory gratuity by showing only “tip” instead of “additional tip.” While I knew gratuity was included, it confused my dining partner, led to an awkward cash app exchange, and soured the experience. I raised this to management the next day, and they apologized and promised to make it right.

When I returned, the experience was worse. Natasha ignored me throughout, and the server who stepped in (Kia) became confrontational after interacting with her. Natasha still handled my food despite refusing to serve me, which was unsettling. Kia resisted when I asked for management, told me to sit down when I stood up to hear her, removed the agreed compensation, and processed my payment on the handheld without giving me a receipt. I had to call out across the room just to confirm payment, only to hear her dismissively tell staff, “he already paid.” Not providing a receipt is unprofessional and a regulatory violation.

I want to emphasize that I support Seta Oasis as a small Black owned business, and the food and vibe are excellent. My interactions with the chef have been a delight. But when servers responsible for the main area(s) dismiss customers, mishandle transactions, or retaliate after a complaint, it destroys trust. I truly hope management addresses this, because the food and atmosphere deserve better than the service I experienced on my last two visits.
