Since opening our first location nearly a decade ago on Newport Beach’s iconic peninsula, Sessions West Coast Deli has redefined the idea of a neighborhood sandwich shop. Sessions was brought to life from a collaboration between highly driven Orange County born and raised dreamers-slash-entrepreneurs Matt Meddock, Beckham Thomas, and Chef Max Schlutz. I tried different food from the menu~ all are fresh taste so YUMMY better than other restaurants I tried there (fashion island mall, Newport beach) yes worthy I ate vegan food other day ~ very good! I even eat meat or no meat either. I am telling you all should try there. I tried other Sessions place is NOT friendly nearby my home ..Dang! sad! Their menu is fantastic, notable mentions are the Morning Zephyr, tuna melt, Thai chop salad and their soup-and-sandwich combo—all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every dish has a little something special that sets it apart, taking the ordinary to extraordinary. The coffee is good too!

My go to location is balboa peninsula. Friendly staff and great food! Just recently went to the fashion island location- same experience, different vibe. Employees were great! Got 2 burgers, my favorite salad, and an iced coffee! All was exactly as described and a great experience! Shout out to Matt, love that you have one-of-a-kind food creations and your loyalty program.

My daughter brought me to Sessions on a trip back to visit her about a year ago. Everything about this place is fantastic, from the customer service and attitudes of the staff to the high quality of food.
Everything I’ve tried on the menu keeps surprising me with how tasty it is.

Nice place to grab some lunch. Can be incognito, as it’s located outside Macys and somewhat might blend in next to it. The sandwich, while pricey, was delicious. Servers seemed uninterested in the customers. But that may be the vibe at this location. Good beer selection as well.

I used to recommend this place to everyone, but something has definitely changed. The Burrito El Gringo is now about half the size it used to be, and the flavor just isn’t the same. I’m not sure if the ownership changed, but the quality has gone downhill. The chicken tenders for kids were extremely greasy — it’s surprising they would serve something like that for children. Sadly, I won’t be coming back.

Group of friends and I needed a quick pick me up after walking around Fashion Island and stumbled upon Sessions. Ended up getting a Vanilla latte and had great flavor and good espresso kick that was needed! Others got a Earl Grey tea and was satisfied as well! Such a cool little spot and great relaxing vibe to the place! Dudes were helpful and solid!
