Fantastic dinner at Sesamo tonight. Eddie was great behind the bars and had great recommendations. The chef started us out with the oysters and the beef tartare. Both were great with such unique flavors and accents.

We also had the miso black cod, cooked to perfection with a nice balance of flavors. Dinner was finished out with the filet mignon which just melted in my mouth. The desserts were all great too. Lovely owners and a great experience all around.

We came for lunch and had an amazing meal. The uni tagliolini and miso Carbonara are must-tries—the Japanese twist on these classics are delicious. Service was fast and welcoming. They also take InKind, which is super convenient. This place is a sleeper hit; go before it gets too hard to get a table!

Full disclosure, this place is pricey and the portions a little on the smaller side but WORTH IT.

The octopus and calamari were perfectly cooked, the mushroom pasta was exquisite. The chicken parm was surprisingly big. The miso salmon was perfectly cooked with good umami. I wish it were cheaper so I could go more often. I could eat that food every day. Value was 100% there.

I don’t like how they charged for bread though—felt tacky.

I’d been dying to try this place for over a year and finally made it happen. Honestly, it was amazing! We went all out and ordered 5 appetizers and 3 entrees to split between us. The menu had so many good options that picking was tough, but everything we got was incredible. We even got to meet the owners, which was really cool—they told us all about how they started the restaurant and it was such a great story. This place is seriously a hidden gem. Already planning my next visit!

lovely asian influenced italian spot in hells kitchen, really friendly staff and service. a bit on the pricier side but the food is definitely good here!

great selection of starters – the best of which was the wild calamari fritti, very moreish and that tomato sauce is also a winner. the salmon crudo and stone fruit buratta salad were also very nice.

the szechuan cacio e pepe with the truffle and stuffed pappardelle was really tasty, very cheezy and rich but probably could’ve used more of the szechuan peppercorn for a bigger kick. the tempura chicken parm was a cool twist on a classic, nice crunchy tempura batter on the chicken with a simple red sauce spaghetti on the side. the highlight of the meal though was the duck ragu pappardelle, the ragu was delicious with a nice warm spicing and super tender duck meat – defo a must try dish here.

I came here with my wife and 10 month old daughter they were so accommodating. Amanda was prompt, friendly and efficient as our waitress. I was blown away by the food. Nothing against Gallaghers but the food here blew them out of the water. The cacio e Szechuan was full of flavor I mean mouth watering flavor. Orgasm in every bite flavor!!!! The oysters were delicious as well. This is my second trip to NYC and each trip I am here more than a week and as a big foodie I can say this place is worth every penny!

We had the crispy salmon nigiri, toasted sesame bread and butter, enter salad, duck ragu, osso buco, and miso chicken. Everything was delightful and rich in flavor. The service is 10/10 and shout out to Melanie for recommending the orange marmalade and chocolate bitter espresso martini, it’s the best in town! I also forgot an item here and they kept it safe for me to pick up the next day. I will be back ❤️

We’ve spent New Year’s Eve at Sesamo. What was weird was that they increased the menu price one day prior without telling us, which was not so nice. The food is great and tastes good but is pricey for the location (hence the deduction of stars). Also, they politely „sent us away“ even though there were many tables unoccupied. Maybe for a normal dinner, the experience is better, but for us, that evening wasn’t on par with our expectations.

We dined at the restaurant Thursday night . We had a tasting menu with wine pairing. We ordered artichokes Diablo and oysters to start. They were deliciously prepared and beautifully served . Followed by burata and octopus dishes . They were sublime . Next course was papardelle pasta with mushrooms sauce and spaghetti with lobster . Everything tasted incredible . The last dish of the night was miso glazed cod which melted in your mouth . Everything we ate was
Masterfully prepared and perfectly executed . Our waitress Beata was very welcoming and friendly . We had a pleasure of meeting the chef Nikita and his lovely wife Sabrina . This restaurant stands out on the sophistication of dishes and variety of the menu . This restaurant is a must if you love good cuisine , nice atmosphere and friendly service .

Yes this place! We were leaving The Daily Show and this bar looked like it was calling to us to have a slow drink before we hopped on the subway home for some sort of home cooked dinner. We stopped for a drink, which was amazing, and had just a wonderful time with the bartender Eddie! We would recommend to all of our friends!!
