Once you find a chair that isn’t torn up to sit in it appears ok. Then the fun begins….ordered lemon chicken and egg roll appetizer, did not receive the egg roll. Wish I had not received the lemon chicken. It smelled fishy and had an after taste like it was cooked in a pan with fish oil. Smelled funky. The Mongolian Beef appeared ok, my companion enjoyed it. The place is in need of repair as mentioned about the chairs, also dirty, swinging kitchen door. Hostess in front was washing her hands in bathroom same time I was there. She did not use soap or dry her hands. I will not go back to this place.

Fast service and decent food. I ordered it to go and it was ready in about 10 minutes. The crab rangoon didn’t appear to have any crab, real or artificial, but it was a solid cream cheese rangoon. The egg roll wasn’t great.

The service there today was absolutely terrible. This is the second time in a row we’ve had extremely poor service. The first time I let it go because I didn’t want to assume that’s the norm there now. Today I decided to give them a second chance.

Let me start by saying we have been going to this restaurant for 30 years. Always loved it. Something has drastically changed. We had a party of six on a Friday night three weeks ago. There were 3 other tables that were filled in the restaurant. Table of 2, the others were tables of four. No excuse for the service we received. The waiter was outright rude from the very beginning. We should have walked out right then and there. But we didn’t. We took his abuse and ordered. We asked for soft drinks and received a lashing about ordering sodas. When he did bring the drinks, they were wrong. We were too intimidated to ask for the correct soft drinks. Than the food. If he would have shut up long enough, he may gotten our order correct. But no. Brought a couple of wrong dishes saying “That’s what you ordered”. It wasn’t. The whole night was awful. We will NEVER go back. It’s a shame.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in St.louis and not greasy at all, not to mention the choices.

This is one of our goto’s for Chinese. They were better a few years ago but still better than most Chinese around the area.

Some of the food was good and some was not so good. The shrimp lo mein was great, it had a very flavorful sauce. The combination fried rice was good. They were very generous with the meat and vegetables in both. The crab Rangoon was your typical crab Rangoon, no complaints there. The hunan vegetables were well cooked, but had little flavor. The hot and sour soup was good, but not amazing. The wonton soup was the biggest disappointment. It was basically large noodles in hot water. There was a scant amount of filling in one. There was NO flavor at all. There was only one server, and he did well all considering. The furniture and decoration needed some updating, but it really didn’t bother us. The family working there seemed very nice. I feel like the food matched the price. I would definitely consider going back if I’m in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

The best pot stickers and hot and sour soup in St. Louis. The potstickers are large, meaty and handmade. The hot and sour soup is tasty and full of ingredients. Their dishes are all delicious except the chicken and fortune cookies. Several years ago we noticed an odd taste with the stir fried chicken dinners, almost like the meat has been reheated. We quit ordering chicken and usually go with beef, pork or shrimp. Fortune cookies appear to have changed and are not very good… don’t waste calories on them. Prices are reasonable.

Food was delicious, as always. However, tonight’s meal was interrupted by children running, screaming and generally causing chaos throughout the restaurant. I believe they are the owners/employees children, because the lady at the hostess stand was their mother and they were in and out of the restaurant office.
