We were looking for a relaxed place for breakfast close to the Arlington Park area in Sarasota. Arrived early after reading prior reviews. This is a family owned and operated place in a sea of upscale and trendy places but well worth the stop. Clearly the local folks love it as everyone greeted the staff by name. First thing I noticed was how spotlessly clean it was even down to the salt and pepper containers! Fresh flowers were on each table. They have a wide group of selections on the menu which would satisfy everyone. I tried the special Croissant French toast sampler and my husband had the salmon scrambler. Both were delicious and very filling. Can’t wait to come back!

Great atmosphere and got busy quickly. If going on a Sunday it’s a must to beat crowds. Got seated quickly. Staff and service was great, very knowledgeable and helpful.
Food was fantastic. Good portion sizes and great value. You could taste the freshness in everything we tried.

I always eat breakfast with friends and family. Plenty of parking and it’s located on a great street with several shops and other restaurants, great location. They serve breakfast and lunch and have a juice bar and fresh baked goods. It is always fast and the staff is very friendly. I love the Osprey Omelet and I change the sides and I never get charged extra money. Great quality food.

Just moved to Harbor Acres a month ago, and since we found the Serving Spoon (.3 miles away) we’ve frequented nearly everyday. Food is always fresh, fast, and filling; the entire staff is very courteous, always greats us with a smile, and makes us feel extremely welcome. I would recommend the Serving Spoon to anyone seeking a great meal at a fair price, while receiving exceptional service. Great job guys, y’all rock!!!

My one complaint is someone’s not washing the dishes well enough they were remaining eggs stains on my plate when I ordered a BLT sandwich. And it wasn’t in one place. It was in a few places. Gross. Also, my friends plate had food remnants on it – so we’re not going back because if you are so blatant as to ignore food stains on the plate, what else is going on in the kitchen? Disappointed.

We like brunch places and brought visitors here for our first time. We were seated immediately at 11:55. After ordering our meals did not arrive until 12:30 so probably not a quick lunch for business people. We had to ask for napkins and straws. They have an extensive menu with many healthy options. I got the heuvos rancheros which wasn’t bad. The others enjoyed their meals. Typical breakfast fare. Bill for 4 came to $62.00
