For the last couple of years, my wife and I have been eating out less. It just seems like everytime we go to a restaurant, we feel, like we are getting ripped off. Between lackluster food quality and terrible customer service, the value for our money feels terrible. It makes me happy to say that there are still great local places with fantastic food at terrific prices. We went to Serranos, based on a couple of recommendations from friends. I’m so glad we did. The restaurant is in an older strip mall off Rainbow Boulevard. Its very clean inside, with plenty of seating. We ordered the Mexican Pizza with carne asada and a shrimp burrito. We also got a pineapple agua fresco. Everything was delicious and made fresh to order. The Mexican pizza is a must try, absolutely delicious. It alone guarantees we will be back again. The shrimp burrito was so flavorfull and very filling. Portions are very generous and they even give you chips and salsa complimentary with the meal. Vanessa who took our order was absolutely incredible. She assisted us with our order and asked what kind of spice level we enjoyed and brought us multiple different salsa to enjoy. She checked on us regularly and even assisted us when we had left over food to take home. The customer service I had here was better than some high end restaurants, I have been to recently. Thank you so much Vanessa for a great experience and wonderful food. You can tell this is a family run restaurant, that puts alot of love into what they do and it shows. We will be back again soon.

The people are incredibly kind — it doesn’t even feel like going to a restaurant, it feels like visiting family. The portions are big, everything is super yummy, and nothing upset my stomach, which I really appreciate. The whole place feels very clean and welcoming. Highly recommended! Try the Baja fish taco

The best Mexican food! Warms my heart in every aspect, it’s one of those places that can take you back in time because the authenticity, service, and at home ambiance is the perfect combination. This family is so kind and it truly shows they love their customers. You can not go wrong with any menu item, (seriously even just the beans and rice alone are delicious) but do yourself a favor and try anything with that red sauce Thank you Serranos❤️

Best baja style fish tacos ive had so far. Its the Baja sauce and the flour tortilla that does it for me.

We got the sausage breakfast burrito. The tortillas were very tender and fresh. Good mix of ingredients inside, and cooked well. There are no beans, the sausage is cut-up links and there is salsa inside, in case that helps you any (it’s not drippy: I uploaded a picture to show). My only caveat is that the red and green sauce they offer alongside the breakfast burritos don’t really taste like anything. So bring your own sauce.
Service was great. They set out chips and salsa on the table even for breakfast.

The old owners are back and better than ever! So happy to see everyone again and the food is amazing I am so happy ❤️
The food has the same flavor we are used to, the restaurant and owners are so inviting, and we couldn’t be happier to be back there. We appreciate you all so much.
Can’t wait to go back next time!
Old Review: I’ve been a loyal customer for over 14 years and I’m really sad the new ownership seemingly changed the recipes. I am happy to give new owners a chance but have been back twice and it’s not the same 🙁 the vibes are different, there’s no homey feel when you come in anymore.
The enchilada sauce was where it was at, and now it tastes reminiscent of canned. There’s no punchy flavor you used to get. Considering they use it in almost everything, it’s made the menu inedible for me.
They also taste like they added clove to the rice, and it’s VERY strong. The beans don’t taste good either.
This used to be my favorite restaurant, I would ask to go here on my birthday. Whenever we would move, we would make the drive across town just to go here. It’s a really sad day to say goodbye to it.
Wishing the best for the new ownership

What an amazing experience we had at lunch today, there is a reason this family run restaurant is so popular. The food the service and the comfortable environment, from the moment we walked in we felt welcome.
They have a menu that offers a variety of excellent dishes, they take great pride in their food and work hard to make sure your experience is a good one.
The food was delicious and we can’t wait to return. It’s always a bonus when you can patronize a family business here in Las Vegas. You will not be disappointed!!

I ordered the chimichanga, and I was expecting the beans & rice on the side. However, they put the beans & rice inside the chimichanga. It was good. The prices are very reasonable. I was disappointed that the salsa bar was not set up, so they bring you a few salsas with chips
My husband ordered the birria burrito he enjoyed it. His burrito as well as mine were huge. We could have shared just one, but at least we had leftovers for dinner.
