You can truly tell she loves what she does — she’s patient, friendly, and incredibly talented. I left feeling happy, appreciated, and grateful for her help. Excellent customer service .
However, I was really surprised by the additional charges for the sides. They charge $1.75 extra for a “premium side” like tostones or fufu, and I paid $3 more to get both. Unfortunately, I only received two pieces of tostones, which felt disappointing. For that extra charge, I expected a more reasonable portion (4 pieces at least). I’ve been to other Cuban restaurants that don’t charge extra for these sides.
Additionally, the bathrooms were really dirty — definitely something management should pay more attention to.
Overall, the food was great, but the added side charges and lack of cleanliness in the restrooms were disappointing.
The service was efficient and friendly. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that we had everything we needed. The food was the highlight of the experience. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything was flavorful and well-prepared. Each dish was beautifully presented and the portions were generous.
However, what truly stood out to me was the pudding! It was absolutely divine—rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. It was the ideal way to end the meal, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it afterward. Overall, Sergio’s offers excellent value for a delicious meal in a relaxed setting. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s definitely worth a visit for both the food and the pleasant atmosphere. I’m already looking forward to returning!
I love the eclectic decor with antique kitchen related items hung everywhere. It’s modern and rustic at the same time, making it a uniquely cozy atmosphere. It is of course loud, but that comes with the territory, lol!
The food. Oh…..the food!!! We ordered a Media Noche and Arroz con Pollo Imperial with a side of avocado and topped the whole thing with a flan. Being that portions are generally large and we are not big eaters, we split everything and thought we would have leftovers to take home, but no, that didn’t happen, we chose to stuff ourselves because we couldn’t stop eating.
I’m not going to say too much about the Media Noche because these are fairly standard everywhere, but I will say this one was perfect.
Now on to the arroz imperial. This was a little bit of heaven, perfect rice, not too dry or too wet, practically more shredded chicken than rice, beautifully seasoned. It’s topped with melted mozzarella and to the side 3 pieces of fried plantain. I wish I was better at describing this savory delight, but all I could think of is how much my friends in other states have no idea what they’re missing . Sergio’s is an excellent restaurant, if you are in the area and want some excellent Cuban food, I urge you to come in!!!
Our server Diasely (hope I spelled it correctly) was AWESOME. Very patient and kind!
We had ropa vieja, picadillo, sandwich Cubano, cheeseburger, mojo chicken, lentil soup, pork chunks and more! Everything was DELICIOUS!!
