Not bad. I like the interior space and low-key, fairly quiet vibe.

Food wasn’t bad but also didn’t blow me away, or maybe it felt a little short of the price point. Wish I could put my finger on it more specifically, but having enjoyed a similar entree at a great place up in Denver a few days prior, it just wasn’t the same tier of flavor and texture. Again, decent, but maybe expensive for what it is.

Respectable cocktail. Though a little disappointing that the bartender admitted he wasn’t particularly well-versed in whiskies.

I’d go back if someone invited me, or if I couldn’t get in elsewhere, but it probably wouldn’t be my top choice for a nice dinner out.

Had a wonderful date night here! Cocktails were excellent. The piano really added to the ambiance. Terrific service. 🙂 will definitely be recommending

Hi there- Party of four….. Friday night. The place is nicely decorated, and the piano plays by itself. The food was absolutely terrible. We all took one bite of our steaks and pushed them away. Our waiter never came back to check on our steak temperatures. The three carrots on each plate, as the famous seasonal vegetables, were cold, and the twice baked potato’s were dry as popcorn. The Chimichurri tasted like you were eating grass, and the filet looked very strange in shape and texture, and tasted like liver. The lobster had no flavor, and it was rubbery. The only thing good, was our conversations.

Happy Anniversary to us….a lovely piano kept the happy mood and married the exceptional service experience. The blacken scallops were beautiful. Tender Sirloin was tender and romantically cooked. We had a delightful time. Thank you.

The food service and atmosphere were fantastic. The food prices however, were not great at all. A 14 ounce ribeye was $85. A 13 ounce ribeye at 636 Main two blocks down the street is $48. The steaks are identical in taste and quality however, Serafina‘s is 77% more expensive. The atmosphere at Serafina‘s is superior but not for a 77% up charge on virtually the same steak. Even a bone-in ribeye at Seven Rivers is $57, much less than Serafina’s. My wife and I were really looking forward to having a nice second steakhouse option downtown but a 77% increase in steak prices is not worth the nicer atmosphere considering I can get the same meal two blocks down the street for nearly half the price.

Alex was our server. He did a great job. My husband and I came to celebrate our anniversary. The menu had plenty of drinks to choose from. We ordered the ribeye and filet and they were cooked beautifully. My ribeye was flavored SO well. NOTE: You may want to make a reservation. We came right at opening so they were able to take us, but I could easily see this place being full near peak dinner hours.

Lamenting the loss of the Ore House, my wife and I have continued to search for a new “special occasion” restaurant in town. Serafina looked like it might fill the bill. It did. Just not the way we wanted.
The ambiance feels old school steakhouse. Dark, woody, a piano somewhere. We couldn’t really tell as we were parked at a small table just inside the front door. Our server, Jessy, was great – attentive and helpful. Unfortunately, the chef was less so and denied our request to share a steak at differing degrees of doneness.
A friend had recommended the tequila shrimp appetizer. It was flavorful and nicely prepared in cream sauce, but four shrimp for $24 was seriously overpriced. And for a steakhouse that considers itself “fine dining” it would have been nice to maybe have some warm bread included.
The main courses continued the theme. The pink peppercorn halibut sounded more interesting than it was. Although there was nothing wrong with the dish, it was just average. The 48 buck price tag deserved better, however. The same was true for the beef tenderloin filet. It was on the small size (although listed as 8 oz.) and good quality but did not warrant the (newly increased) price of $70.
Dinner for two (drinks, appetizer, and two mains) pushed the $200 mark. Serafina seems to be geared toward the Telluride and Vail crowds. Good, but unexceptional food at outrageous prices. I think Durango tourists, and locals, are looking for something else. I certainly am.

Absolutely delicious steaks—cooked perfectly, tender, and full of flavor. Every bite was clearly high quality and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere was just as impressive: warm, inviting, and perfect for both a special night out or a relaxed dinner. Great food paired with a great vibe made this a standout experience. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic experience at Serafino‘s tonight. The halibut was cooked perfectly as well as the steak, and Amelia was the perfect hostess.
