Tried the new sandwich shop in downtown slo for lunch. Was pretty empty and initially thought it was closed since really dark and lacking an open sign, bit staff was very friendly fave recommendations and they shared all their pastries and salads are made fresh in house.
Ordered the Reuben and a turkey sandwich to go. The Reuben is served on a seeded rye bread with a good amount of sourkraut, and the turkey sandwich had a nice later of avocado and served on squaw bread (reminded me of pumpernickel).
Both sandwiches we’re very fresh and loaded with meat, but the actual size of the sandwiches for $9 and $10 was a little small, but overall very tasty and would love to go back and try the pastas and other options as well.

Great food! real attention to detail and taste with each sandwich. Very proper food and generous portions. the staff have been great when I’ve been there. Easy to recommend even in a city with so many great sandwich places. Seriously yum. But I do wish I could see what soup is being served when i order on apps though (allergic to clam chowder) And i wish they could store more potatoes as they never seem to have any when I’m craving them!

I am always looking for the best salad!! This place out did themselves in the trip tip salad. It was huge and amazing I couldn’t stop eating it! Their tri tip is perfectly seasoned. I am not sure if they cook it themselves but nonetheless it was fantastic. It was a bit much for a salad. But 100% worth it! Too bad the location is the entire reason I probably won’t eat there again. It’s way too inconvenient to pull up and pick up to go. Nowhere to park and you gotta do laps around 5 blocks to park. Unless you use the bank parking lot. Then you’re just taking a risk at getting a ticket or towed. I am not sure if the bank watches or not. But so hard to get to that’s for sure!!

I ordered door dash two days in a row and both days they got my order wrong. No croutons on the Garden Salad. The first day, they put blue cheese instead of ranch. The second day, they put no salad dressing so I couldn’t even eat my lunch. They also put no sour cream on my potato. Disappointed in the door dash service. In person is better.

Ordered the Sicilian sandwich. Best sandwich I’ve had in months without a doubt. Very clean all around as well.

My husband and I ate here today and had a fantastic experience! The two gentlemen working were polite, engaged and efficient. Our sandwiches were delicious and our PB cookie was the perfect treat to round out the meal.
Everyone is sick of COVID and what it has done to the dining experience and this felt like 2019. We’ll definitely be back!

Ordered boxed lunches today (9/9) for a group. The boxes came with a sandwich, cookie, salad, and chips. I got the Cajun turkey sandwich – it was really good, I recommend it! I didn’t catch the name of the young man who helped us out and delivered our order, but he was very friendly and got everything together for us on time. The order was perfect and the food was great. Thank you so much!

My sandwich was gross. I got a New York style Pastrami… it was sweet!! Why was it sweet? The meat tasted old. There was very little meat (Maybe that was for the best.) The potato salad was tasteless.

Sequoia sandwich has finally arrived! Their menu is actually a lovely fit for some missing fare in downtown SLO. Fresh sandwiches, hot or cold, salads, soups, vegetarian, gluten free. And then, ready?! Corn bread and baked potatoes!! The kid’s menu is well priced and everything we’ve tried has been delicious. Have some patience with the staff, the menu is new to them, too. A great addition to downtown dining and right next to the theater!
