Beer was cold and the right size. KFC was boneless thighs – my favorite. They have cheese corn, I am coming back for that. The KFC was a cut a little small, but convenient bite sizes. The sauce was a little too sweet but still spicy. Lacked that gochujang kick. Wasn’t quite crispy. Coming back for a second round. Cute probiotic drink with check – nice! Staff was attentive.

Dark inside.

Good service and nice people.

The side dishes tasted a lot better than it looked.

Solid food but avoid the fried chicken unless you really love gochujang.

We plan to come back.

Delicious kimchi soondubu! Perfect lunch portion. Very fast, friendly, and delicious banchan. I will definitely be back. This reminds me of restaurants in Seoul. Affordable, fast, delicious. Owner and staff speak Korean and English. Other reviews are correct, they don’t mess around with spice. Err on the side of more mild.

Had the Original Soondubu for takeout and it was delicious — rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. Great flavor and well packaged. Would definitely order again

Super delicious Korean food, the staff were friendly and the service was very fast! We didn’t have to wait long, and the banchan was unlimited! They happily gave me 3 trays of the bean sprout (my favorite!)

They even give you ice cream and Yakult after paying! A very generous establishment in their portions and complementary items.

Solid Korean food in cap hill. The tofu stew was good enough and the beef soup very rich in flavors. The fried chicken was just okay though – not crispy enough and way too sweet.

Overall still a good choice. We came on a weekend evening and there was a lot of seating available. The food came pretty quickly.

Japchae and spicy fried chicken is pretty good as a starter dish. I also like their braised pork rib, quite spicy but very tender and very flavorful. Tofu soup is delicious, there are multiple options and we had kimchi tofu soup with beef. Main dishes are quite spicy to our surprises, so go easy on the spiciness level. There are also other dishes we would like to try on a second visit, like braised beef, etc. definitely worth bookmarking on map!

I think this place is great – the service was prompt and generous, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was quaint.

But the pricing was super high. I guess that could be attributed to Seattle, Inflation, and Covid.

For example, the bibimbap was $15 – you might think this already includes beef, but it’s an additional $3 to include the beef. So it was $18 in all. The portion size was normal and the amount of beef was unsatisfactory. Most of the time at other Korean restaurants, the pricing for bibimbap already includes beef. So I felt that this was pretty steep.

Other dishes on the menu range from $25 – $35 for an individual portion.

The highly praised GoMa chicken was good, but it was doused in sauce, so it quickly became soggy.

The banchan was good and they asked to re-fill it.

The best surprise at the end was the complimentary ice cream.

I would come back, but I do feel that the prices are steep for the portions given. The taste and freshness is great though.

This is one of my favorite comfort meals in Seattle. I frequent this place at least once every 2 weeks and I’m never disappointed. I always get the Ham+Sausage Soondubu, which comes with a bunch of sides. The sides themselves are very worth it, and you can keep asking for more if you run out, my favorites are the fish cakes and potatoes. The soup is hearty, filled with umami, and hot off the press (perfect for a rainy day). I usually go with friends, and we share an entree. I highly highly recommend the Korean Braised Beef Short Ribs. I used to think the Soondubu was my favorite dish here until I tried the short ribs. They fall off the bone and sit in an amazingly flavorful broth. Each bite bursts with the flavor of the broth as the meat melts in your mouth. You also get a free dessert drink at the end which is sweet and tart. I would highly recommend trying any of the Soondubu + the Korean Braised Beef Short Ribs.
