The food was delicious! I had the K chicken and tebokki with a taro milk tea. The chicken was very flavorful, crispy, and spicy (but not too spicy)! Genuinely, that was the best tasting taro milk tea I have ever had! The staff were welcoming, friendly, and accommodating! I hope more people will try this place!

Yay! Finally some good Korean food. Ordered the bibambap and dorshirak, both dishes were tasty. The spicy pork hit the spot along with all the different umami flavors in the bibambap, jap chae and mandoo. The orange tomato paste looking dish is tteokbokki a chewy rice cake marinated in savory gochujang sauce. Was my first time trying tteokbokki and I enjoyed it. Will be back for sure!

I had been waiting for this place to open and was excited while looking for lunch, to find it was. Ordered through the app (yay points) and it was ready before the estimated time. The food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I’m excited to try more of the menu.

I was passing through town and happened upon Seoul Street Cafe near my hotel. I had the tofu dosirak and it was so good. Really nice texture and flavor. The veg dumpling was also wonderful. The restaurant was super clean, and there were healthy orchids and live plants – which are always a sign that someone cares about the restaurant.

Ordered the spicy pork doshirak. Service was quick, portion size was solid. Pork was beautifully tender, would’ve liked a little char but that’s a personal preference. Would’ve liked it to have been a bit spicier but understand that this is likely toned down to be more welcoming. Included mandu was tasty and perfectly fried.

Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Don’t bother coming here in person, they will leave your food in the pass to get cold.

The two bites I had of the fried chicken had almost no meat as well.

If you’re going to try eating here only do online orders.

I was headed out to lunch caught this by the corner of my eye. Thinking Korean food? It might be good who doesn’t love a good Korean food. So i stop and now wish I did not for the price i paid not worth it and the portions of the meal definitely not worth the price. I don’t recommend. Barely had any taste supposed to be spicy pork, but was not spicy at all. Had to add more spice to it.

I have one been here once so far since they opened however the Rose Tteotbokki was really great as well as the Kimchi Jjigae. If you are not a spicy food kind of person be warned they both have a kick to them. I am looking forward to try the rest of the menu will come again.

This is my first visit to this place (of any of its branches). I really want to make a review of this because Boise Food Finds doesn’t have a lot of posts about Seoul Street Cafe. The Boise branch has solid reviews on Google Maps though.

The interior looks very clean. Like, the place may have been a fast food before Seoul Street Cafe bought the location. Very clean, and it doesn’t have that Mom & Pop cafeteria vibe to it.

Compared to Japanese and Chinese places, Korean is something I’m not that familiar with outside of the usual Japchae, Bibimbap, etc.

I ordered their Dosirak (Bento) box because it’s looks like the play-safe order.

As it turns out, this is a really excellent Bento Box. The Bulgogi Beef is well marinated. Tender, savory, and the flavor of the marinade is well absorbed.

If you like Japanese Beef Gyudon, you’ll really like the Bulgogi.

Everything in my box is great. My milk tea is great.

This is one of Meridian’s more authentic Asian places, and it does a good job of being that.

Usually, when I crave for thinly sliced fatty beef, I go for Mala House, but if Sichuan peppercorns aren’t you thing, just get your Bulgogi here.

The location though feels like it’s a bit in the middle of nowhere. Los Betos is close but all I’m seeing around me is St. Lukes. You’ll really have to crave Korean to go to this place. It won’t have Orange Chicken for you if you’re one of the more picky types. But the same can be said of any Korean restaurants.

I have not been to any other Korean place aside from Von’s chicken, and aside from that one, this place has the aesthetics and the coziness to back up its pricing. I did pay $20 for my Benro box and for me, it’s worth it.

I’ll definitely be back.

Boise metro has seen an opening of authentic Korean food since 2020. Now it may not compare to LA, Atlanta, and other K-Town areas, but it’ll get you by for sure and won’t insult you for attempting to claim Korean when it’s not.

Consider there are probably like 796 Koreans living here so “authenticity” isn’t really necessary. That’s why I give 5 stars. If compared to LA and other K-towns, it’d probably be like 3 stars, but this is not intended to be an insult. Just a reality. Keep in mind at that point you’re competing with Korean restaurants that SPECIALIZE in specific dishes and they’re competing against Koreans who don’t even speak English.
