Had an awesome experience at Seoul Korean BBQ & Hot Pot!

From the moment we sat down, everything was set up perfectly for a great meal. The table grills and hot pot burners were clean and easy to use, and the menu had a huge selection of meats, seafood, vegetables, and sides. The quality of the food really stood out — the beef was fresh and beautifully marbled, the salmon was vibrant and flavorful, and the hot pot broth was rich and packed with flavor.

The banchan (side dishes) were delicious — especially the kimchi and seaweed salad — and they kept everything coming. I also appreciated how attentive the staff was. They checked in often, made sure the grill was swapped out when needed, and were quick to bring refills and additional items.

The atmosphere was comfortable and modern, perfect for a casual dinner or a group night out. If you’re looking for a fun, interactive dining experience with high-quality ingredients and great service, this place absolutely delivers.

Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!

Seoul Korean BBQ is at the corner of 420 and Balt. Pike in Springfield. Mind blowing! Incredible dining experience. The table chooses to do either BBQ or hot pot, then you cook your own food, family style. We did the BBQ, where you cook your food over a gas grill built into the center of the table. You have 35 different high quality meats to choose from, including steak and sea food. You also grill veggies. There’s a make-your-own-sauce bar, filled with every Asian sauce you can think of, and you combine them to create your own original recipe. It’s not cheap, but for all-you-can-eat high quality meats, including beverages, appetizers, and dessert, a great deal, really. Beautiful modern Asian ambience.

Really nice experience. I went with a group of friends. I don’t eat meat, and there were plenty of options. You can have the grill at your table replaced multiple times so you could take turns grilling vegetables and meat if desired. Sauce options were really tasty, and the sushi looked nice, too. For me as a vegetarian, and with my smaller appetite, it wasn’t a great value. But for the meat eaters, it certainly was. Service was spectacular. Atmosphere was really good. If your friends want to go, it’s definitely something you can do as a vegetarian or vegan.

Went for the grand opening and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our server was Soap and he was very attentive and friendly even with how busy it was. The service was smooth and efficient. The food we tried was flavorful and delicious. The beef bulgogi and garlic chicken were my favorite. I was not a huge fan of the tomato hot pot base and would just do the BBQ option in the future. The sauce bar was clean and well stocked and even included fruit and dessert options. We will definitely be back

Was my first time in one of these places and it was excellent! Their brisket and spicy chicken are just something else. I sampled a large portion of the menu to try as much as possible without being wasteful and getting hit with their fees. The long rib was great! Just the amount they gave me cut my night of sampling things short. That’s a lot of meat I had to put away. Wish they had smaller sample sizes but the waiter said everything is designated in advance. I’ll pickup where I left off next time. But from what I seen so far, the spicy chicken and brisket are excellent!

The staff is really great too. From the bartenders to the servers. Very friendly people! This place should have been way busier than it was. Maybe I just got lucky with a slow night. This place is great!

5 stars. We normally go to a different kbbq/hotpot spot for celebrations, but decided to gamble on a new place. To sum it up—I am happy with my choice, and this will be my go-to place now.

I have driven past this restaurant a few times going to Target or Chick-Fil-A, but from the outside it didn’t look like anything to go crazy over. The inside is a different story. The atmosphere is nice, it’s clean, the staff are polite, and the place is decorated very nicely.

I was immediately welcomed at the door and given a table. Our waiter was very patient and polite. The service was quick, but not rushed.

The food was very good! The kbbq/hotpot was very delicious, and the sides, drinks, desserts were good aswell!! The jasmine tea drinks are so delicious, and the sides were very good to me. The variety of sauce options and side dishes was nice and tasted authentic.

Also, I found it very cute when I saw staff come out and sing happy birthday to another table. Overall it was a good time. Yay.

My yardstick for hot pot is a restaurant in NYC on the upper east side called Shabu Shabu. For those that aren’t experienced with this type of dining, it might be a wonderful experience and I wouldn’t let my summary discourage anyone from trying Korean BBQ/Hot Pot – it’s fun and a great family experience! Some have an issue about “going to a restaurant but cooking your own food” as off putting, but I love it! Don’t forget to try the sauces up front! They’re worth it. We had the pork, prime rib, and brisket cuts and all were great. I would recommend sticking to the milder soup bases (mushroom, soy). The schezwan was too spicy for me (and I’m not a slouch when it comes to heat!).

This is our second time here and both times have been good. Our server this time was Lyn and she was excellent, checked on us regularly and got our food/drinks out very quickly. I would say Kpot has better meat quality but Seoul has more seafood which I prefer. It’s nice to have this other option. Anyone that complains about flavor maybe forgot about the sauce/seasoning bar? We had no complaints both times and our kids loved it. They have a special this month with unlimited crab legs when you choose the hot pot + bbq option.

We had an amazing time on our first visit back in June for my daughter’s 10th birthday. She even got a cute panda stuffed animal and a tiramisu birthday cake. She didn’t eat it because it was tiramisu, but it was really delicious. The service was outstanding and the food was great, of course.

We live about 40 minutes away from the restaurant, and there’s an all-you-can-eat BBQ and hot pot place just 10 minutes from us, but my daughter still begged us to come back to Seoul. This time the service wasn’t as good as our first visit because it was much busier. The grill wasn’t changed very often so some of the food started tasting burnt, and it was hard to find someone to help us add more food. It also took over 20 minutes from when we said we were ready for the check until we actually got it. My daughter was also charged the adult price at first, but they changed it to the kids’ price after I reminded them. I guess it might just be the holiday rush, even though we arrived before 5 p.m. We’ll definitely give it another try on a less busy day.

The food is still really good, and they’ve added sushi rolls to the bar now, which I don’t remember seeing on our first visit.
