Friendly and personable owner.
Just came for the spicy tofu soup beef and seafood. Very good!
Helped clear up my cold. Fell so much better now with this great food!
Will be back; but the only reason why I wouldn’t dine in here often is the side dishes. They don’t have fish cakes, sweet soy sauce potatoes and Korean potatoe salad. So I have to go another K restarursnt for that.

If you go make sure you are with someone who is a fan of this place and understands how it works. Otherwise it is terribly confusing. We were a a large party, and only two of us understood how to order. Once we all understood that we all had to order all you can eat, three of us opted out for vegetarian. For the rest of us we all had to eat the same four items at first. When all those meats were cooked and eaten, we could order another round of four items, ad infinitum or until we were full or sick of the whole mess. We relied on one person to do the ordering, and some of us were pretty unhappy with the choices. Personally pork and beef belly are not my favorites, and we kept getting them every round. That wasn’t the restaurant’s fault, but I suggest consultation with the whole group before ordering. I didn’t think the quality of the meat was good enough to be grilled. Some of the beef was gristly and hard to chew. Some of the beef was stringy and didn’t cook evenly. The lighting was poor so it was hard to tell if the chicken was cooked. As a result practically everything was overcooked. I did not find cooking my own food to be particularly charming. If you want to eat something besides meat, you have to order that separately. Since the minimum price to cook your own meat is $35 you can easily spend $50 or more per person if you want to eat something besides meat. This is a novelty restaurant, and that’s about the best I can say for it.

The shop is small but the food is amazing! Best tteokbokki I’ve had hands down and their bugolgi is to die for! (pics are of the half eaten dishes, they looked prettier before we dug in lol) The staff is also very friendly and helpful. 10/10

Piping hot food and tastes ready to order. Good portions and good flavor. My only complaint is that the shredded cabage salad was dry and unpleasant to eat. Please offer more mac salad instead of this. The rest of the food was tasty

This place is filled with warmth, just like a home-cooked meal from a loving grandmother. The food is delicious, and the people are incredibly kind.
After my meal, my car wouldn’t start — but the chef, a sweet grandmother, and her friend went out of their way to help me. They kindly offered to assist even though I had to pick up my kids from camp, and they stayed with me until the very end.
This is more than just a restaurant — it’s a place full of kindness, heart, and community. A place where food is truly made with love.

The most flavorless food I’ve ordered in a long time. It also reminded me of a valuable lesson that you should never leave a tip for a counter order. I way overpaid for the quality of food I received.
I asked for condiments and got a strange look (and explanation that I didn’t need them) before being handed two tiny soy sauce packets. Who fries calamari (poorly, mind you) and then doesn’t give you a dipping sauc?

Awesome customer service from

Thank you
Awesome cook
Awesome owner and son
(The lady with the glasses that is there often on the computer with dark hair is interesting. She has a foul energy when women come to sit and eat when their skin doesn’t match hers… someone else I know said they noticed her side eyeing them also. I thought it was just me..)
Her attitude does not exceed the establishment. I just ignore her dry demeanor.

The cheese tteokbokki is probably the best one I have eaten in Portland area. I love the soondubu tofu and also the beef kalbi. I will definitely come back and try other foods on the menu. Keep up the good work!
