El Pilón Caribbean Cuisine offers authentic flavors from Puerto Rico and Cuba.
I tried arroz con gandules, carne mechada, and yuca frita, everything was delicious and fresh.
The bacalaítos and sauce completed the experience.
Cozy atmosphere and friendly service.

Very bare and basic inside which doesn’t turn me off. Some of the best food is from hole in the walls. Ordered a side that was not available. Ok. Ordered the main dish and second plan b side. Waitress comes back saying my dish isn’t available either. I just politely left. Seems items that are very common aren’t even available to order. Byeeee.

I have cancer ♋️ I don’t eat as much as I use too because of it. I cleaned my plate completely. He also brought little samples of other dishes to try. I can’t wait to go back again. Hidden Gem with Amazing Puerto Rican Flavors!

This small restaurant truly impressed me with its authentic Puerto Rican food and outstanding service. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel right at home—welcoming, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do.

The food was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned pernil, fluffy arroz con gandules, crispy tostones, and the best alcapurias and pasteles I’ve had in a long time. Every bite tasted homemade and full of love.

It’s rare to find a place that delivers both heartwarming service and unforgettable flavors, but this spot does exactly that. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone craving real Puerto Rican comfort food!

Wow, let me tell you, this place was amazing! It was super clean, the service was great, and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the traditional Puerto Rican rice and beans with chicken, and it was so good. The chicken was tender and flavorful, not too salty at all. I also got two beef empanadas that were heavenly, so full of savory goodness. And to quench my thirst, I had two refreshing sodas. Can you believe it? All of this for just $25! It’s a fantastic deal. I highly recommend this place to everyone. You won’t be let down!

New to area, driving by and decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. There food reminded me of home cooking on my island of Puerto Rico. The staff and the service was excellent. We will diffently include this restaurant as one of our regular places to visit.

The place was 70% full, they have about 18 tables. It’s self seating! I felt the service was slow as they did not acknowledge me when I walked in. It took about 7 minutes before they brought me a menu and the young lady didn’t even introduce herself. Then it was about another 5 mins before they came for my order. They are bilingual, so they spoke both Spanish and English.

I ordered the Masitas de pollo with arroz con gandules and Sorullos de maíz as an appetizer. The appetizer and the food came out together The rice with Gandules had smoked salmon inside it, so it tasted fishy. It’s a first for me, not impressed . I found the masitas de pollo dry and kind of bland as well, they didn’t provide any types of sauces. I had to ask for Mayo-ketchup. The sorullos were tasty tho.

The place was packed tho. So I guess it’s probably a hit or miss based on your choices hence my rating. However, I won’t return.

The place is super clean, and people were nice, but never again. I asked for “carne frita” she asked me if I wanted rice, I said only the meat, but i never expected to pay $8.99 for this miniature portion, when i checked in the car i simply left cause they made me wait 45 minutes for this. I asked around about the place and received bad reviews but i gave it a try. The bacalaitos not good, they are big but bad.

Rude customer service. The tostones must have been from 2 days ago. The Cuban sandwich was filled with pork fat, salad was old. Would not recommend. Please find somewhere else
