First time visitor and it was *wonderful*! I decided to satisfy a craving and went during my lunch break and left more than content (I couldn’t shut up about the experience when I told my girlfriend what I did for lunch, haha). I had 3 tacos: cochinita – kinda like a BBQ pulled pork, carnitas (my FAVORITE for sure), and the ground beef. All 3 were super flavorful and perfectly portioned.
The outside is definitely unassuming but when you walk in, you feel the authenticity right away. I drive past it every single day on my way to work and made a mental note every time that I’d check it out, and I’m so glad I acted on my impulse today.
I just wish I had a longer break just to chat with the owners Greg and Israel, they were so welcoming and we couldn’t go more than one sentence without laughing about something. Definitely coming back soon with some loved ones!

10 stars! I’m still eating and had to stop and say…this is delicious! Greg and Isreal the owners have some of the best food I’ve had since moving down here. Very fresh and clean! I will most definitely be a regular here! Glad I randomly stopped!

Restaurant is truing to say it is my fault for using Doordash, I haven’t used Doordash in a long time for this very reason. I ordered DIRECTLY THROUGH THE RESTAURANT, they used Doordash and got screwed by Doordash poor service. Had I known they were going to send the order with Doordash I would have never placed the order or I would have picked it up myself. Not all of my review had to do with the cold food, some of it was just lousy and they didn’t bother to address that part.
We thought we finally found decent Mexican in Pinellas based on the reviews but it was not even close.
First off, they partner with Doordash for delivery so you know you are in trouble( we are 10 minutes away but it was over an hour until we got our food)
Everything was ice cold, hard taco was like eating oatmeal.
Churros are a joke, they say you get 2 but what you really get is 1 regular sized churro cut in half.
Side of Carnitas is a joke, it is so small that it isn’t even worth the order and it is not true Carnitas. (It is shredded pork fried on a flattop).
Chips were stale.
Desert Empanada was not good at all.
Regular Empanadas ordered with cheese, cheese was a joke. They weren’t horrible but don’t waste your money paying for the cheese as it was non-existent.
Machete had no mushrooms to be found anywhere.
Carne asada was a lousy cut of meat that was incredibly chewy (overpriced at best) I have never had that bad of a piece of steak masking itself as Carne Asada before in my life.
The beans and rice seamed decent but since I had to reheat everything in the microwave it all lost a little bit of its luster.
After spending $100 dollars on mexican food I surely expected more and better, unfortunately, Doordash screwed everyone with their incredibly slow service and late delivery but I am not convinced that much of this food would have been any good even it it was served hot at the restaurant.
Sorry for the bad review but I feel like I was just stolen from (yes it was that bad) and I wish I had just gone to McDonalds or Taco Bell, at least bad food would not have cost so much.

This place is a great find. Food & service are fantastic. Great Cozy atmosphere and the owners are there on-site to greet you & actually provide some of the best restaurant service I’ve had any place in the Tampa Bay area. Thank you guys for the kind hospitality & great food and service.. we will be back and the letter of friends all know this is a place they shouldn’t miss. Thumbs up 10+++
