I’ve visited Señor Rocoto three times now, and each time the food has been excellent,
consistently flavorful, and the café con leche is truly unmatched. The kitchen is clearly doing something special.
However, the service has not reflected the same level of excellence. During my recent visits, I had the same waiter twice, and on both occasions I had to wave down another staff member because no one returned to check on the table. I’m not looking for excessive attention, just the basic level of service that complements the quality of the food.
I would absolutely recommend Señor Rocoto for the cuisine, but I hope the service experience can be brought up to the same standard as what comes out of the kitchen.

Had the chance to go there this past Saturday for lunch with my wife and I was very skeptical about the whole thing because people have rated this place with such low scores, mentioned bad attitude from servers and I was like uhmmm imma give it a try.
Guys, when I tell you this is the most authentic Peruvian food I’ve had, I’m not lying. I had the chance to try Peruvian food in the past and it was as good as this one. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients, portions are HUGE, the inside of the place does not look like previous reviews, it’s so warm, welcoming, cute and very well put together.
They have all the goodies, traditional drinks, the chicha morada is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE, the servers are all so sweet and kind and there is no way they’re rude to you.
I certainly told the lady that I was very worried about going because of bad reviews but promised I’ll be back because the food is really really good and the service is on point.
Prices are NOT bad for the amount of food you get. I had the chaufa mixta and I’m not kidding, 3 people can eat out of it.

We recently dined at this Peruvian restaurant and had mixed feelings about our experience. The food was genuinely very good. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, it felt as though we were doing them a favor by being there. The waiters were not very kind or welcoming, and they did not seem interested in helping or answering questions about the menu. There was a noticeable lack of attentiveness throughout the meal, and the overall attitude made the experience uncomfortable.
To make matters worse, several items on the menu were unavailable. While the food itself was very good, the dismal service and lack of hospitality made it hard to fully enjoy the evening. I truly hope they can improve their customer service, because the cuisine deserves a much better front of house experience.

Great food! We’ve had great service when we come here. My family only speaks English and the staff is always patient with us and helps with answering any questions about the food or menu.

What can I say about this place: huge portions, great food and unbelievable pricing. We came in for lunch and for $10 you get a huge bowl of soup, and then an entree (that comes with two sides). I honestly don’t know how they are making money, the portions were huge and the food was really good.
Highly recommend trying this place out. Good chance you will leave happy.

I came with some friends to enjoy breakfast and everybody’s order came except mine. I was told my order was never put in. Meanwhile most of the servers were having their own breakfast in the back of the restaurant. No one seem to care much about the situation. Out of frustration I decided to cancel my order and it didnt seem like they cared much. I suggest Management should look into their customer service immediately. I will NEVER go back to this restaurant nor will I be recommending this place no any body at all.

This was our first time here, the food was absolutely amazing. I had the ceviche and hands down one of the best ceviches I’ve eaten in the Tampa Bay Area the portion is huge as well. My kids got the grilled chicken breast and was very flavorful. My husband got the lomo salteado and it was amazing. The service was great and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back! 10/10
