The food tasted good, but it wasn’t anything special. Of course, you can’t expect so much in a food court I guess, but the price was quite high for the amount and quality. Also, the staff was not very friendly, although perhaps they were over worked handling a lot of costumers. Not highly recommended, but if you crave some Mexican food, it’s not too bad. Also the waiting time very long.

If you want to get treated rudely or indifferently this is your place. The food is adequate for a burrito bar. Tho there are much better burrito bars on the island.

The staff definitely don’t want to be there and they don’t want you there either. They make that abundantly clear.

Avoid at all cost. Unless you have a fever and the cure is more burritos.

I ordered their street tacos and made them vegan; their veggies were soaked in some kind of oil, it got everywhere and made eating the tacos really messy; aside from that the staff was very accommodating to my dietary needs and overall this was the most decent vegan option I could find in the food court. So if you’re vegan and you’re not feeling just a salad, you could try this spot. BUT just don’t think you’ll get authentic Mexican it’s just good tacos

Señor Pepé in the Señor Pepé food court is not going to blow you away but it will absolutely do the job when you are hungry.

It is one of those dependable mall options where you know exactly what you are getting. Nothing fancy, nothing over the top, just straightforward Mexican style plates that come out quickly.

The taco salad is the move here. It is big, filling, and actually satisfying enough to hold you over for the rest of the day. If you are starving and want something that feels like a full meal instead of a snack, this is a safe bet.

Overall Señor Pepé is not amazing, but it is reliable and hearty. When you are walking the mall and need something substantial without waiting forever, the taco salad gets it done.

My husband and I were a bit skeptical at first after reading some of the reviews, but we decided to give it a try and ordered just one dish to share since it was dinner. We went with the burrito bowl—chicken, pico de gallo, guacamole, rice, refried beans, cilantro and chipotle sauce. The portion was generous, and the flavor was excellent. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the next day for lunch. The place was busier during lunchtime, so we had to wait a bit to order, but it was worth it. Not expensive!

Ordered the Birria Quesadilla and got normal beef instead. Calling this birria is an insult to birria. The amount of meat was so small it felt intentional, like they trained someone specifically to use the tiniest spoon possible. Now I understand why the rating is 3.1, even that feels charitable. Should be closer to 1.

We ordered the California burrito and carne asada fries. The burrito was stuffed with nothing but cheese and they didn’t add much carne on the fries. They also didn’t include the salsas we ordered with them and did not remove the guacamole from the fries after asking them. Overall, the food was absolutely disgusting.

Didn’t have high expectations for this Mexican place in the Ala Moana first floor food court but was pleasantly surprised! Not the best but not the worst you’ll find on island … and they have mini plates, which you won’t find at many Mexican places here.

You don’t get the choices of toppings with a mini plate, but it’s a great deal for around $10. You get rice and beans, and our choice of enchilada, soft or crispy taco, tamale, or 6” quesadilla – perfect sized lunch for me.

Aaaaaand they have Ube Horchata. Again, not the best – I make a pretty good one – but not the worst. All in all, would definitely come back for lunch to try other mini plates!

Worst mexican food I have ever tried in my life!!! I’m 100% mexican, and this doesn’t even come close to fresh nor good mexican food. On top of that, the lady in the pic. was the manager, and I asked why I got like 7 chips in the bag. Then I asked the manager if I could get a few more chips or at least another bag with several chips and just stared at me. Them just completely ignored me and started helping out other customers. And on top of that, my meal was $17.
I highly recommend anything but this place. It was worst than taco bell. Shake my head.

Taste & size for price was great, but sad to see styrofoam still in use here instead of paper/biodegradable cardboard containers & staff should not be automatically filling food into single use bags & give cutlery without asking – most customers put bags straight in the trash after sitting in the food court & take more cutlery than needed.
Plus side, easy to cater to vegan choices without meat & cheese.
Would be great to see reusable tray, plate & cups in use at this & all places in the food court.
