We came all the way from Hollywood for THE BEST! – Celebrating – Edwin Burgo’s fastest Rotary car IN THE WORLD – we started with the crispiest – most flavorful CHICHARRONES –EVER! – Followed by a Tripleta Sandwich — Took a serving of Lechon with arroz con gandules +Yuca for next day’s lunch. Our server Ellie was awesome and if you need to wait (don’t complain)– it’s worth it- I drive more than an hour for this delicious Puerto Rican food!

I visited this restaurant after hearing great things from a few friends, and I’m happy to say it didn’t disappoint!
For appetizers, we ordered the morcilla (not my personal favorite, but my partner really enjoyed it) and a beef empanada, which was delicious—though I wish it had a bit more filling. My partner also had the cheese dog and absolutely loved it.
We chose to sit outside, and thankfully, the mosquitos weren’t too bad during our visit. For our main dishes, I ordered the mofongo with lechón. I don’t usually go for lechón, but since it’s one of their specialties, I decided to give it a try—and I’m glad I did! It was flavorful and satisfying. My partner ordered a different entrée (I can’t remember the name), but he seemed to really enjoy his meal as well.
Overall, he rated the restaurant a solid 7/10, and I’d give it a 6.5/10. The food and atmosphere made for a lovely evening, and I’d definitely come back again!
One small note: when we arrived, we waited outside by the sign (attached in my photo), but no one came to greet us. We eventually went inside to let them know we were waiting, and they kindly told us to sit wherever we liked.

They expanded! Now there’s room to sit with room. The food is delicious, as usual. Im from PR and its very close to mom’s cooking. The service was friendly and fast. We went during the week, when its not as busy. There’s a place to sit outside as well, with umbrellas. Oh and the music was cool. The whole place has a cool vibe.

Currently here to dine on my birthday and I ordered blood sausage and alcapuria as an appetizer. The alcupuria exploded so it was partially burnt from the inside. The blood sausage came out cold I added it and the server took it back and they microwaved it so they are soggy.
No serving platters for our appetizer and no sauce dishes for our sauces. My fiancés food came out already and I’m sitting watching her eat. Used a napkin for a serving plate and the tip to a take away sauce for my sauce.
Very disappointed

Love their lechón and chicken al carbon! Do delicious. Mofongo was good, perfect texture and extra garlicy. Arroz con gandules also delish. Wouldn’t recommend the kankan or carne frita, both over cooked and very tough. Definitely stick to what they’re known for the lechón and pollo. Love the atmosphere with people playing music or singing outside. Service is hit or miss, definitely worth a try.

This place is a rip of, I ordered a plate of pulled pork and all it had was a blob of fat, with no meat at all. They should have just told me they were out of this specific dish.
At the counter when picking up the food I got ignored and instead of attending me they took the next client because they had a table. I will never waste my money at this place again.

Very friendly staff and customers. We tried various typical PR foods & all delicious. We then went to the patio to listen to music which was very entertaining. Worth the travel to try this place. Suggest to get there early to see the cooked pig and get the skin. We were told they were only able to give us what was left was wasn’t much but the pork was delicious.

Great food! Everything is fresh. They get super busy on the weekends. Live music and outdoor seating. I door seating area is small, but they are expanding to the storefront next door.

They don’t have many items in the menu. My husband ordered tostones with Chicharrón and was good. Unfortunately, my mofongo with pollo frito was inedible. The chicken was either too old and reheated multiple times or just burned. The reality is that we couldn’t eat the chicken as it was dry like wood and no flavor, also very dark. The mofongo was dry, no flavor no pieces or chicharrón on it and the “caldo” was just an eagerly liquid without flavor. You either have a cook who don’t care or don’t understand what a business is about. Dont serve someone something you wouldn’t eat.
First and last time. Good luck.
