The smoky smell coming from this restaurant permeates this plaza! We finally decided to give it a try. This was our first time trying Senegalese food.
The interior was what I expected—a bit messy, handwritten flyers on the wall, no sense of ambiance, but no major red flags that would deter us from eating here. The lady at the counter was very kind, pretty helpful and gave us the option to order a family-style pan.
We started with the beef patties and they were very good. We ordered a pan of lamb, jollof rice and plantain. The lamb had a wonderful smoky smell and flavor. The lamb portion lasted us for about three different meals over three days. The lamb was overcooked and a bit tough, though. We ended up stewing it in beef broth which re-tenderized the meat.
Overall, we would go back again.

I came here on Sunday for the first time. They were busy and had a line but the young lady in blue taking orders was so so nice and professional. She kept the line moving and she kept thanking everyone for being patient. The food was DELICIOUS!!! Real authentic Senegalese food!!!!!!! I will definitely be back when I’m in town again! Everything was seasoned to perfection!!!! They did not miss on the food!!!! 100/10 must try!

I’m only being generous enough to give it two stars because a few months the food used to be really good and they had the best Senegalese food in the city
The portions are no longer generous. I rather pay a few extra bucks to get a full portion and the quality of the meat has become horrible. The dibi doesnt taste the same and it looks like something a dog chewed on and tastes like a slim jim, no way they’re serving this.
The restaurant used to be amazing they need to go back to their original operations

One word: amazing. The grilled lamb is savory, tender, and just the right amount of spicy. The jollof rice was so good my 10-month-old kept going back fore more even though it was spicy. The staff were simply wonderful, friendly and engaging. Two adults ate their fill and took a little home off one order of lamb and jollof rice. I will DEFINITELY be back.

$20 for oxtail meal. 2 pieces. 2! One gristly. Mid flavor. Mid rice and peas. Out of control!!! Save your money and go to Island Vibes in Columbus.

Dibbi lamb is not cooked well. I always see this and ignore but I feel like I need to talk about it today. Looks like they leave it on the fire for another 2 minutes to make the outside look brown and then sell it. Very undercooked. It also very expensive for the quantity they give for that price. Worst of all is the customer service. Very bad. No need to order on phone because you will still need to spend at least 30 min to wait on your food.

Im a trucker running loads for the Kroger store next door. It was late after hours and two guys were preparing BBQ meats for the next day. The smoke was thick and the cooking meat smelled fantastic! I stuck my head over the wood fence to compliment them on their preparation and was very kindly offered a small sample of their lamb, chicken and beef. OUTSTANDING! The flavors were heavy with smoke and just enough spiciness to make your lips tingle but not overpowering at all!
Hope to visit during their normal hours and try a full meal! Thanks for the samples!!

I’veI recently had a very disappointing experience at senetaste. My husband drove 20 minutes to the restaurant because I was craving Theibou Dieunne. Unfortunately, upon his arrival, they informed him that they didn’t have Theibou Dieunne available.
He ended up ordering tilapia, Dibi lamb, a “lamb” sandwich, fries, and fried plantain. Sadly, the quality of the food was poor. Everything tasted old, and to make matters worse, the lamb sandwich he ordered turned out to be a sandwich full of fries with no lamb in it. When he called back and offer to show pics the person said how can you show pics? bring the food back. Unacceptable!

So I ordered lamb and joloff rice and They gave me yellow rice. When I told him this was what I ordered he told me to try it and I will like it. Then I tried it and went back inside. I didn’t like it how I like the brown joloff rice and when they gave me the brown rice it was cold like they just got it out the refrigerator smh. This was my second time coming I was very disappointed.

Had the empanadas beef they were delicious with side of a spicy tomato sauce.
The dibi lamb was ok, a little dry/tough but this has been my experience with most restaurants. Rice with onion sauce was good.
Sorrel/Bissop was delicious.
