OMG! What a blast! Spotted this before we got here as a place that had true cask ale, including bitters could not ask for anything better. Best thing since England and a lot closer to home! Friendly and accommodating, good food, great drinks and Nikki the bartender was amazing. (I’m sorry if I spelled your name wrong.) Patio has a view of Lake Seneca. Pub has a corner of very British foods for sale. The owner is a jokester, if you’re not careful you’ll end up on a video call with his Mom in England! The Dunmore bitter was the next best thing to Abbott Ale which is the best compliment we can pay. If we lived in the area this would be our home pub!
Note: There is same level handicapped parking and easy access to the entry HOWEVER all of the tables and the bar are high tops. No accommodation for wheelchair seating at a table or the bar. Bradley may want to rethink this arrangement and add a couple low tops.

Nice stop if you’re checking out breweries in the area. Given the english style, they do a cask style beers so there’s no CO2 and it’s served around room temp. Its a nice change of pace. The beers are more on the bitter side. I did a tasting and wished the beers were labeled or I had a menu in front of me, I keep having to ask the bartender which beer was what. Overall a nice stop.

Lovely space with lots of interesting decor…even the bathrooms!

Staff was great on my recent late afternoon visit. He was very friendly and provided some great information on the cask-brewing process and how it differs from the American process.

The few beers in my flight (about $12ish) all tasted great but lacked the traditional carbonation found in most typical beers. This, along with being served at room temperature, is a major difference from other beer I learned. The cask ales are naturally carbonated giving it a milder, less harsh, and maybe flatter taste. Most other beers are force-carbonated.

While not available on the day I visited, I would loved to have tried some of their food options. Maybe I will the next time I am in the area.

There is a small “shop” in the corner which sells British-based foods including teas and sweets.

Some lovely views on the back deck!

Did a wine trolley tour all day and when we passed this place I immediately called and asked if they had and English Bitters. When they said yes I made it my quest to get there even though there are no Ubers in the area. Well cut to the chase and with some help I was in heaven with a delicious Bitter in my hand, lots of laughs and a some great memories by the end of the night. If you really like beer, beer that DOESN’T smell and taste like a Yankee candle or air freshener then make sure to stop in and tell Bradley Joe from Chicago sent you. It was one of the highlights of our trip!!!

I have so many great things to say about this place, from the people to the food.

Food: We were politely provided some chips (fries) and curry from the owner (which I did not know at the time). Both the fries and the curry were exceptionally flavorful and made me rethink about English cuisine (kidding). My wife bought a gin and tonic with a great citrus gin and Mediterranean tonic which went down smooth and was actually tasteful even to myself as a non-drinker.

Service: Nicky who helped us with the drink inside was so kind and patient and gave my wife recommendations which is how she ended up with her great G&T. The owner, Bradley, was not only an amazing gentleman but super funny and kind. This is the type of place you go to because it makes you feel warm and at home.

Aesthetic: English goods line the back wall and artifacts from England line all the other walls, feeling like you are in a pub somewhere in southern England. Such a cool feel.

Fantastic little place over looking the lake! Was refreshing to go into a brewery that wasn’t just IPAs- I’m person who does not like IPAs and sometimes that’s all the newer places have. Was just a short stop to taste a few things then had to leave- could have easily stayed all day. Will be back when in the area to try more and stay for awhile. Oh and the ladies behind the bar today we great- explained everything on the menu, quick to serve and had some great conversations.

The beer is cask beer, served (on purpose) warmer than you would think, but was very good. A lot of gin and tonic options. There isn’t always food, but went there for a drink or two, not to eat a meal. Atmosphere is like a pub, but not too dark or loud. People were great, bartender and the local group were really awesome and very inviting. Would recommend to anyone who likes English style ales or is interested in trying them.

Super cool pub on the wine trail. Looks like you’re going into someone’s house and you enter into a British pub. Love the imported European goods and the theme of this bar. They’ll were having a Guy Fox celebration and it seemed like it was going to be super cool, but sadly we had to leave. Will definitely be back.

A home that’s been magically transformed into an authentic English pub, serving proper English cask ales. All delicious, especially the English Bitter & Old Cranleigh! If you’re not familiar with cask ales, they’re not carbonated & served at 55° instead of the standard 37° you’ll find at your typical brewery. Authentic, proper English food as well; their minted lamb cottage pie’s amazing!!

Not your typical brewery, highly recommend stopping by!

(oh and for dog parents out there — they’re dog friendly too!)

The beers chosen by the guys who got flights tasted chemically? Some were okay, but over all so-so. The gin options were pretty good, but nothing you couldn’t make yourself much cheaper. The overall atmosphere was beautiful and kind of quirky, but also had an unwelcoming vibe with the service at first. They were also out of a lot of the things on the menu for specific cocktails which was a bit disappointing. Id give it another shot because maybe it was just an off day, but also there was a lot of things that were off to say it was that.
