2/19/26: This was my first visit. The restaurant is Veteran owned and operated. I went with my neighbor for lunch. We sat at the bar, and Coltyn took care of us. I had a Michelada, which was very good, and my neighbor had a beer. Both drinks were served in a mason jar, and looked great with a Tajín rim. Coltyn brought us chips and salsa. The chips were nice and crunchy, and the salsa had a medium spicy kick to it. I had Carne Asada Fries, and my neighbor had a Guac Lettuce Taco and a Bean and Cheese tostada. Our food was prepared fresh, and came out hot! The Carne Asada fries is shareable. I wasn’t able to finish my plate. The restaurant was pretty clean, with nice decor, and a few TV’s throughout. The bar area was nice, there were plenty of tables available, and there were a couple of tables just outside the restaurant. Coltyn was a great host, and we’ll definitely be back. There was plenty of parking outside.

The food is amaazing!! We had the street tacos plate. Margarita was good too. On the rocks. We went midday…. Not much to expect from staff I guess… but the bartender was TERRIBLE (besides making a good marg) he sat on his phone the whole time. Checking in and out mentally. It was probably the worst service I’ve ever had. But the food is amazing. Get it to go if you’re going midday

We tried this place one evening for dinner. We were greeted as soon as we entered and seated right away. Our server Ruby came and got our drink orders and then returned to get our food order. Ruby brought some chip and salsa. We ordered the Guacamole and chips. The guacamole was very delicious. For the entree we ordered the Quesadilla with beef and the Burrito with bistek. Both were very delicious and prepared to perfection. We found the restaurant and the restrooms very clean. They server breakfast until 2:00pm every day. The open at 11:00am everyday except Saturday and Sunday they open at 8:00am. We cannot wait to return.

I will start with the acknowledgement that many restaurants are struggling right now and have been operating conservatively to survive. I also realize that Rowlett is a restaurant wasteland so we adjust our expectations when we do eat out locally. This place is probably not going to be open much longer. Visited on a Saturday evening and sat at the bar for a quick and casual meal. Two very young people running the restaurant, service was adequate and they appeared to be trying to do the right thing. Chips and salsa came out quick…chips were good, salsa, not so good. Told my wife tastes like watered down ketchup. Noticed a large bottle of Great Value ketchup on the neighboring table, assumption is they are buying just enough for the immediate need. Also, could not find any napkins. All the paper towel holders on the bar were empty. Asked for napkins and the bar guy said, sorry, we are out. We asked our manager to get more but he didn’t. How do you run a restaurant without any napkins?? He was able to find a nearly depleted roll of paper towels and we were lucky enough to grab 3. None of the occupied tables had napkins, guess everyone was just using their sleeves? Ordered Guacamole as appetizer. Quesadilla with chicken, spinach and veggies. Wife ordered the nachos with fajita beef. 5 minutes later, bar guy says, sorry, the kitchen ran out of pre-made guacamole and would need to make more. No problem, fresh is better. Then he came back and said they are out of spinach. Again, no problem, chicken, peppers and onions will work. Food came out and the quesadilla was fine but onions and peppers were barley cooked, hard…blech. Nachos didn’t look great and she only ate about 10% before pushing it away. Not horrible, just not great. Guacamole never arrived so we asked the bar guy to cancel since we were almost finished eating. Bill arrives and…Guacamole $9 and spinach $1 were still there. Took several minutes to get the attention of the bar guy and he agreed to remove. Menus were nasty (old, dirty and falling apart), had to eat with a tiny Xmas tree directly in front of us and the gnats were all over. Random stuff against the wall, TVs not operating, clutter everywhere, etc. BTW, we intended to go to Asadero House first but there were zero customers in the restaurant on a Saturday eve so we settled for Senaida’s. This was our first visit to Senaida’s and definitely our last.

my coworkers and I have visited this spot twice, and both times we received excellent SERVICE by GABRIEL. He is awesome, friendly, and very attentive. Food is great, they offer Veteran discount. Gabriel’s music playlist was also on point. Would like to return and hopefully catch a Karoake night soon. We rate this place a 10/10! Thanks Gabriel for your awesome service, will return soon!

Last night was our first time there. Boy were really surprised. I can’t say enough about the food and this little place. Reminds me of the Bar in the Cheers Show years ago. The food takes a little bit of time but that’s because it is made from scratch and not just stuck in a microwave to heat up. The tortillas are homemade. The salsa is excellent. My husband said the margarita was great and the person that waited on us, his name is Gabriel . He made sure we had everything we needed. We didn’t have to wait for him to come around. Just try this place. It is really awesome. This is our new go to Mexican restaurant.

Absolutely love this Mexican food. Every dish we tried was fantastic. Best beans anywhere! Rice excellent. The tortilla chips are thick and wonderfully crunchy. The salsa is just right, not too hot, not too bland. The street tacos are great and highly recommended. I tried both corn and flor tortillas, one is as good as the other. The birria sandwich is good, but next time, we will choose tortillas rather than bread. The burritos are huge and delicious. Loved the chicken flautas. They have just the right crunch. This food is a far cry from TexMex.
