If you’re looking for a meal that stops you in your tracks, SemSem Mediterranean is it. I’ve traveled to many countries and tasted Mediterranean food across the world and I can confidently say the flavors here are unforgettable.
I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap, and from the first bite it was game over. Juicy, perfectly seasoned chicken tucked into soft, warm bread with bright crisp veggies, and every bite layered with flavor and freshness. It’s the kind of wrap you close your eyes for just to appreciate it.
But the real star? The hummus. Hands down the best I have ever had….anywhere.
Creamy, silky smooth, rich but not heavy, topped with fragrant olive oil, fresh herbs, and a bold chili mix that adds depth and the perfect zing. It’s an explosion of flavor that’s savory, bright, balanced, and unforgettable. Hummus this good is rare. It’s the kind you think about later and crave again. I actually bought two more large orders to go to share with my family and friends for our New Year’s Eve party.
You can taste the quality in everything along with fresh ingredients, authentic preparation, food made with care, culture, and pride.

I received great customer service at this location. The staff were polite and friendly which was refreshing. This location was very clean and organized. The food was delicious. There were plenty of seating options in the food court. I would definitely visit again. There are high chairs for children as well.

I am not satisfied at all. The service is zero, the communication is zero, no one even looks at us when taking our order, the food arrives very late. I am not happy, unfortunately. Yes, the food is good, but customer satisfaction is completely absent before the taste of the food.

I met Sara and Hassa (forgive my spelling!) who provided excellent service! I got fresh falafel wrap (no spice, only sour) and grape leaves and the chefs did amazing! Thank you to this crew for proving veggie options that taste amazing and the fun and inviting attitude.

The food was delectable, the seating was manageable, the price was reasonable. First of all, I loved the different customizable combinations of food you can do. It is very easy to make sure the food is tailored to your taste. Secondly, the food is quick, tasty, and healthy. There are lots of vegetables, protein, and healthy fats offered. Thirdly, the food is really good for the price, you’re either leaving with a box or a full stomach. Since it’s inside a mall, seating should not be judged. The only 2 complaints were the complexity of the menu, it took a while to understand how to order– the employees were super helpful with that. — and the plastic utensils that look like they came straight out of a plane. Overall, a great option for someone looking for a nutritious tasty meal.

Fantastic Vegan Bowl at SemSem Mediterranean
I recently visited SemSem Mediterranean at Chicago Ridge Mall and was greeted by a friendly employee with a warm smile. I tried the vegan bowl, and it was absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend for a healthy, flavorful meal!
