Me and my husband went here for our anniversary dinner and we’re raving about this place and how we can’t wait to go back. Everything was phenomenal- the food, the drinks, and the service! Normally I’m not one to gush over service however I have to say they went above and beyond to be attentive without overbearing and the joy of sharing their culture was delightful. We had the tea, beer, honey wine, coffee – all exceptional! I think that was the best coffee I’ve ever had! For food we had the salad appetizer, the selam meat and vegetable special, and baklava for dessert. Everything was delicious, not one bad bite! We left stuffed and happy!

I really like this restaurant. The manager is extremely welcoming, and the food is great. They sell the type of food that people from Ethiopia eat. Furthermore, all the staff are from Ethiopia too. This is a really good family-owned business. The only problem is that the waitresses are not well trained.

This is a 10 out of 10 place for Ethiopian food in the US. I can’t judge the authenticity but seemed very authentic and everything was delicious. The manager, Abraham, was awesome as well. If it’s your first time, just go with his recommendations. I will be back for the good food and the outstanding service and hospitality.

We ordered the chicken and veggie combo for two, and the food was absolutely delicious — flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The cultural atmosphere made the whole experience unforgettable.
Eating with our hands from the same plate made it feel so personal and authentic — more than just dinner, it was truly an experience.

Tried Ethiopian food for the very first time today at Salam Ethiopian Eatery in Orlando, and I was pleasantly surprised! While I don’t have anything to compare it to yet, everything we had was incredibly fresh and full of flavor.
We were two people and shared a meat and vegetable platter, which offered a perfect mix of tastes and textures. We also had an appetizer and wrapped up the meal with the traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony—highly recommend it! The coffee was rich, aromatic, and absolutely delicious.
One thing I really appreciated is that they have tons of vegetarian options, so this is definitely a great spot for vegetarians too. The service was also excellent—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I’m already looking forward to going back!
