The atmosphere was super dynamic, with lots of young people (mostly students, I guess) having an amazing time with an amazing set by an amazing dj. It honestly reminded me of the good old days, especially with a couple of nice drinks in hand outside by the door. We stayed for about an hour and a half and left feeling genuinely refreshed and happy.
Next time I’m in Lisbon, I’ll definitely try their sushi side as well. Thanks again to the team for the warm welcome and the great vibes!!
For me the place does deserve its high rating. Nearly every aspect of the experience made here, was exceeding the expectations. Sushi set (Fire) was not only good tasting, with quality ingredients and nicely decorated, but also served with real fire, which lasted quite a while. I definitely recommend it.
Miso soup was with a twist, spicy, but so harmonious mixed together.
And on top of that you get a quality cocktails from the bar. The bar and the restaurant belong together.
The waiter was very attentive and friendly.
Thumbs up!
I reserved a table for 7 people, and was sat in their “bar” restaurant, which gives more dive bar vibes than sushi restaurant. The pictures on google images show their beautiful sushi restaurant, so obviously I was surprised to have our table sat in a windowless bar surrounded by chain smokers.
Waited 2 hours for our food… after 45 minutes I inquired about our starters (edamame, should take 5 minutes at most) and was told I needed to be patient because they had a lot of tables that night (the restaurant was empty)
I understand if they were short staffed in the kitchen, but the wait staff was inattentive from the start. We only received one menu for our table of 7 people… when I asked for water for the table, they only brought out one water glass…. Had to continuously ask for our drink orders multiple times.. The list goes on.
One of my friends got her sushi 30 minutes before the rest of us, so she was done eating by the time our food finally arrived.
Food was great though. Just not worth a 2 hour wait.
I understand that restaurants get understaffed, but what shocked me was the casual attitude of the waitstaff for how terrible and delayed our service was. Never a single apology or explanation. Very strange again, for the high ratings.
We had the spicy edamames, gyozas, usa temaki, asia poke bowl and dragonmaki roll. We liked it all!
Place is simple and cute, service was quick.
While my request for less salmon was honored, the ceviche took about 40 minutes to arrive, and the beer took 10 minutes.
The Dragon Roll came after around 54 minutes, with very thinly sliced fish and small portions. The initial service was nice, especially the gentleman with the beard who was very, very friendly.
However, the overall service was too slow.Overall, the experience was average.
I rate the restaurant 2 out of 5 stars. It might be suitable for cocktails or if you have plenty of time for simple sushi, but it doesn’t meet high expectations. The fish selection is limited to tuna, salmon, and whitefish, which was disappointing.
The restaurant seems to cater to a young crowd looking for cocktails and a sushi-esque experience, but it’s not great for authentic sushi lovers.
The high ratings from other guests are puzzling, but good for them if they enjoy it. Lisbon has many excellent restaurants, so it’s worth exploring other options for truly good sushi. In conclusion, if you’re after cocktails with a bite, this might be the place for you.
But for those yearning for genuine Japanese fish delights, you might want to look elsewhere. Lisbon certainly has better sushi to offer.
There are many other restaurants that can do better, so I hope they improve.
