Delicious food and impeccable service!
While we did not notice a lot of fusion between the two kitchens the food was very nice regardless.
A thing to note however is that the downstairs bathroom area needs some attention. The door handle to one of the stalls just falls off immediately and it was very dirty (not the toilets themselves) down there. Lots of cobwebs and dirt on the floor..

A wonderful discovery, a hidden gem! Service was excellent which is rare for Belgium. The food was really good! Surprised they don’t have a Michelin Star!

Culinary experience to savor. The staff was kind and attentive, the presentation of the dishes was original and every dish was simply delicious (2 amuses bouche, 7 starters, 2 dishes and dessert). The alcohol pairing was also perfect. Pricier than average but worth every penny

Excellent cuisine, both Japanese and French, such as the preparation of the “joue de bœuf.” Very good selection of drinks with great diversity, from wine to Japanese beers, even non-alcoholic beverages, numerous types of tea from genmaicha to sencha to tisane. Very interesting selection of desserts with constantly changing ice cream flavors of unexpected creaminess. We’ll be back. Excellent service.

I really don’t like doing this, but our experience at Seino was bad, really bad and at the price they are asking this is not on!
The location looks like some students recycled and “modernised” a café, their are some nice japanese accents but they clash with the messy switches and bad finish.
The server was polite but obviously not enjoying his job or having any enthusiasm about the food.
The food was … Bad, the dishes didn’t come together the preparation wasn’t done correctly, seasoning missing, over and undercooked elements on the same plate. But the main problem is the menu itself, this is no french japanese fusion, there is no way the chef had formal training at top restaurants and the combinations were not working, not balanced, didn’t taste well …
Oh and the neighborhood, there were drunk guys shouting and fighting in front of the restaurant, a ruff pocket in an otherwise good area of Brussels, but it was distracting and uncomfortable and another bad mark on an already bad experience.

Positive points: the wine was good, and the pork and desert were delicious
Negative points: the first three dishes were not very good, for ex the scallop lacked seasoning. Overall, way too pricey for what was offered.

Fusion indeed, the atmosphere is western, service too but they know what they are serving which is a big +
Food wise, nothing exceptional, i liked the fact they choose the serving for you thus making it more of an experience.

We took so the sake tasting which was nice and at an affordable price.

Worth the experience

Chef Seino mixes Japanese ingredients with French culinary influences to create a fixed menu worth the price. Fish, meat and vegetables were all presented with elegance, and the intimacy of the restaurant creates an environment that feels special and unique. I visited with Japanese friends who swear by it. The meal can be paired with a wide selection of sakes which fit perfectly with the establishment. It’s a slightly higher budget than the your neighborhood bistro of course, but well worth it. Great for a date night, or a dinner with friends.

OVERPRICED crowded little rundown restaurant, 65€ fixed menu (nothing to choose from, no à la carte option)for very small portion of food with not special taste or interest. The meat was impossible to eat, like some plastic bag. We booked a table for 2 people at 20h30 but they were full and improvised a table next to the bar
