Reviews
Seiko Hibachi has only been open for one week, and overall I was impressed enough that I plan to go back in a few weeks once they work out the opening bugs.
We came in with a large group of 16 (8 adults and 8 kids), and they did a great job accommodating us, including food preferences. The kids enjoyed the food, which is always a win with a group this size. The cooks were fantastic—engaging everyone at the table, from our 18-month-old all the way up to our 6-year-old. They really made the experience fun.
That said, there were a few disappointments. They advertise kids under 12 eat free (chicken hibachi) with an adult hibachi on Mondays and Wednesdays, but there was no mention anywhere about holiday exclusions. There was even a sign when we walked in advertising the special, and by the time we left, an additional note had been added saying “not on holidays,” which was frustrating and felt a bit misleading.
They also did not have cold sake available, even though it’s advertised on the menu. I’m hoping that’s just part of the early opening kinks.
Food-wise, the rice and steak were phenomenal. The veggies and shrimp were a bit overcooked and slightly scorched, but again, I’m chalking that up to opening pains. The sushi was good and fresh—which it should be for the price—and pricing overall was on par with other hibachi restaurants in the area. Mixed drinks received mixed reviews from our table, but nothing terrible.
Overall, Seiko Hibachi has a lot of potential. With a strong staff, engaging chefs, and solid core food items, I think this place will be great once the bugs are worked out. I’ll definitely be back in a few weeks and will update my review then.
The hospitality was unmatched—super friendly and welcoming, made us feel right at home. The hibachi show was so fun, and the food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Definitely coming back!
