Our extensive menu offers a variety of vegan comfort food including breakfasts, burgers, dogs, wings, fish & chips, pizzas, salads, fried chicken, your Mexican favorites, and some amazing appetizers, sides, and sandwiches like our famous vegan tuna melt. To top off your meal, try one of our delicious non-dairy ice-cream based desserts or shakes. We offer the largest vegan menu from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara that spotlights our amazing hand-rolled sushi. My visit was on November 23rd, 2025, but I forgot to leave a review until now.
Genuinely worst sushi i’ve ever had. Felt disrespected when I received a sushi roll that was supposed to be topped with “tempura” (as it says on the menu) but instead came topped with corn flakes cereal… In what world is that okay?
I also got the vegan chicken plate which was pictured with different styles of vegan chicken (drumsticks/thigh/etc) but all we got was the drumsticks… Was good but still not worth it.
Later updated reply on December 12, 2025 — I forgot to originally leave a review the night it happened, but was telling friends about this place yesterday before deciding to leave the review and call the place. The lady who I spoke to when I called to let them know of our visit there was very nice and agreed she didn’t like the cornflakes either & that she’s let the owner know. I am not from there, traveling through from Texas, but she called my number back to inform me that they were making the switch back to Tempura. I thought that was nice and a good effort to get a customer back, if I lived in the area I would go back for a second chance. Moving the stars to 3 for that display of service + the response of the owner in this review. If you still own this place next time I’m in Cali, I’ll take you up on that entree, haha. Thanks for the good customer service and response.

VEGAN SUSHI! The BEST vegan sushi I have ever had in my life. You’ve gotta try the eel roll and the volcano roll. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s spot on to real sushi. The menu is 100% vegan, expansive, and offers everything from all-day breakfast to savory lunch and dinner options. Every item we tried (and we tried a LOT) was perfect. Tasted just like non-vegan food. Also their fries were bomb!

Unbelievable food, generous portions, great prices, absolutely top-notch service. Even my husband, who is *not vegan* LOVED everything we tried here! We recently visited on our way to Santa Barbara and it was so good, we went on our way back, too! Seriously! I’ve been vegan for over 10 years, and I’ve tried lots of places all over the country — the good, the bad, and the ugly. Seed Ranger is HEAVEN.
Food details:
-On our first trip, we got the Crunchy Tiger Roll and the Cajun Chicken plate. The Tiger Roll was incredible. My husband could not believe it was vegan. The Cajun chicken was lovely as well! Perfectly spicy and the texture is to die for– similar to KFC, but vegan!
On our second trip, we got the Chicken & Waffles plate which has the same chicken as the Cajun chicken plate, but without the spicy seasonings. It’s salty and crunchy and pairs perfectly with the buttery waffle. So good!
I also HAVE to mention how helpful, kind, and sweet the staff was! Seriously, the service is unmatched here.
As a bonus, they sell vegan candy! Perfect for our road trip and hard to find usually!
GO- you won’t regret it!! If we are ever back in this area, Seed Ranger will be getting my business every time!

Planned a day trip just to come out here. My oldest one suggested this place because of the dietary restriction friendly foods. My wife was able to enjoy sushi again, and my kids were able to eat foods they can’t eat a normal version of. Don’t let the large menu deter you. The quality of the food is amazing and prices are fair. 100% recommend this place whether you have dietary restrictions or not you would honestly never tell it’s vegan. Staff is friendly as well. I will definitely be coming back! Try the pumpkin spice shake too!

Passing through and found this 100% vegan spot. It has an amazing selection of food. We had pozole , sushi, a tamale and a Navajo taco. Everything was outstanding and fresh. I will make a trip from LA just to eat here again. Very friendly staff!

Best vegan food in Ventura county. I love their avocado sushi, it beats anything I’ve ever ordered from a Japanese restaurant! Menu is huge and there’s something for everyone. Service is excellent, the staff work so hard and are very kind. I prefer to get takeout or have it delivered.

What a special find!! My son and I searched everywhere near the Camarillo and Simi Valley area for an all vegan restaurant and happen to come across Seed Ranger in Ventura,CA. What a wonderful place. You go up to the counter place your order and they call your name when the order is ready.
The guys behind the counter are so kind and patient. We got to connect with the owner and it was such a pleasure. The food was absolutely delicious we loved it so much we went back everyday during our 4 day stay in the area. We did dinner one day, lunch the next, ice cream on the third day and on the fourth day we went back for breakfast. I didn’t capture photos of it all but trust me when I say it was ALL GOOD! Highly recommend!! For those looking for vegan catering services, they offer that as well. They have an extremely expansive menu filled with variety. You just can’t go wrong here.

Cute little fast food place. The choices on the menu were amazing and plentiful. So many things to try. Next time I’m in town I’ll definitely stop in for food! I had two sushi rolls and delicious soup. Just great.
