We ordered to go and the waffle looks burnt but it didnt taste like it. I’m not sure how it is being cooked. The fried crab was seasoned and fried well and presented nicely even though it was a to go order. The cashier was also friendly taking the order as well as whomever cashed us out. Could be same person but she was friendly, thx. The prices are a bit much for general menu items with average portions.
Overall good, would return for other versions of their Benedict.

Saturday morning breakfast was great! Sorry, i only have a picture of my daughter’s food(i was eating she was snapping pictures). This is more upscale eating. It is not your average pancake, bacon, and eggs eating. My daughter had the lobster omelet with hash browns and I had the spinach omlet with crawfish sauce and a side of grits. I don’t normally order grits in slidell because every restaurant do something to their grits making them nasty(i think they add milk, stop it please slidell people!!!!), but these grits taste like grits should taste(thank you Sedra, just make them with a bit less water and longer cook time and they will be perfect). I also ordered some crab cakes which was good(i wish they would have poured some of that delicious crawfish sauce on top of them, that really went well with the crab cakes). Very tasty and flavorful food. The service and atmosphere was great!!!! They also have a variety of coffee choices for the coffee lovers out there! I want to try the pistachio latte, sounds delicious, i was just too full to get anything else. I will definitely be returning to this slidell gem ❤️. It is pricey but you pay for quality and I think it’s worth every penny!!!!

First time eating here and I was not disappointed! Miss Kim took good care of me and her recommendation of the Boudin Benedict was on par. Almost makes you feel like you’re at home.

Huge Disappointment!
We won’t be back!

The Thanksgiving menu posted on their Facebook page sounded delicious and we made reservations and had high expectations for a delicious meal.
But, It was weird from the start.
As the hostess walked us to our table we noticed little individual pecan pies in the aluminum pie shells (just like the little pies you get at Walmart) on small plates at each of our seats.
So those were our desserts!

This Thanksgiving meal promised a 3 meat dish of turkey, glazed ham, and pork loin. The sides were stuffing, macaroni cheese, whipped sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce.

It sounded good but,
the turkey and pork were sliced processed meat rolls.
Not good!
Cranberry sauce looked like it was scooped straight from the can. I could see the ridges from the can.
The greenbean casserole was cold.
The stuffing and macaroni and cheese were fair at best.
No rolls
No gravy

There were cocktail napkins on the table but no dinner napkins.
I asked for some napkins and our waitress brought me more cocktail napkins.
There were no dinner Napkins for ours laps, not cloth, not paper…none.
To make matters worse,
I put my fingers under the edges of the plate and could feel dried food on the underside!

We paid $42. A plate.
We would have gotten a better meal at Cracker Barrel for $17

Ate here yesterday and the food was amazing. I had the seafood omelet and the baklava pancakes…. With a lavender expresso. Chelsea made that expresso to perfect I had to order another to go. The pancakes were SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOD. I was scared to try them at first, there were so press when they came out and I mean they were delicious. The seafood omelet was good too but those pancakes hit the spot. My guest had the waffle and western omelet; which were also amazing. That waffle tasted so buttery & was so fluffy. I could not believe how amazing that food was. And the atmosphere was very calming. Everyone were so friendly, even their customers coming and going were so nice. It has a home like touch to it, like you’re at home in the big dining room with all your friends having some amazing food. I really appreciate the great service and great food! (I forgot to take photos of the omelets and waffle Just know they were DELICIOUS) oh yea and they are not that expensive!

Sedra is a lovely restaurant. I visited for brunch on a Sunday and the owner/servers were all so nice and helpful! I started with an Irish Coffee and it was so yummy. It’s hard to find good pancakes but I was pleasantly surprised by Sedra’s. The omelet and pasta dishes were pretty good too. I did think that the pricing was a bit steep for what we got. The food was plentiful, I just think I could have gotten a comparable meal cheaper elsewhere. I’d definitely return if I’m ever in the neighborhood.

The restaurant smelled. If I weren’t so hungry from traveling, would have found another place to eat. We thought we were going to get some specialty Cajun style cooking. That was not the case, it was no better, maybe even worse than diner food aka Waffle House. Don’t waste your time or money.

This was an odd experience for us. I didn’t pick, so I had no reference for the type of restaurant this was. I was not expecting white tablecloth service for breakfast/lunch spot on my way back to MS. It was fairly casual though, everyone was in jeans T-shirt type of attire. I felt like I was in the presidential dining hall on campus though. The menu similarly has mostly classic diner food for breakfast and lunch with a few pinkies out specials. She got a couple cappuccinos which she really enjoyed. I was tempted by the Bloody Marys but I’m drying out for lent. It was still late morning/early afternoon so we did brunch. I ordered the waffle combo and added hash browns and sausage gravy, she got the huevos rancheros. While nothing was bad, we were not blown away either, specifically with the huevos. I’m not sure they should call it, because what we got was unlike any version we had seen or had before. It was oddly deconstructed, with the salsa on a stack of soft tortillas, with the eggs and bone in pork chop and a side of beans that tasted like chilli? Separately everything was good, but even properly put together that was not huevos rancheros. I took everything I ordered, threw it on top of my waffle with hot sauce and syrup and was satisfied with my choices. The hash browns were actually really good as well as the waffle. The gravy and bacon were lacking in flavor but again I had a lot going on with my plate. We did talk about how we may be breakfast/brunch snobs spoiled by the plethora of amazing options in Nola. Service was pleasant as one would expect from the decor. If they were closer to the I-10 exit I would consider coming through for their lunch or dinner options. Fox news(on mute) on the big screen TV doesn’t help either.

Wife and I wanted to get some brunch, and she recommended this place. The servers were all very friendly and welcoming. Started off with the Bloody Mary, and it was great, you could actually tell they were generous with the vodka. Wife got the Crepe Sedra, and I got the Breakfast Quesadilla. Food was great, will definitely be back!

Y’all, the Crepe Sedra was absolutely incredible! The coffee was wonderful and the beignets were dreamy! The atmosphere was lovely. The service was superb, I wish there was a higher choice than 5 stars, the staff deserves it! I cannot understand how this place wasn’t packed. Sedra Bistro will be my go to when I am in town!
