⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Oasis in District 1

Secret Garden is exactly what its name suggests — a peaceful, leafy escape right in the middle of busy District 1. The moment you step in, the noise of Saigon melts away and you’re surrounded by greenery, warm wood interiors, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe.

I ordered the clam salad, and wow — it was fantastic. Fresh herbs, crisp onions, tender clams, roasted peanuts, and those crispy sesame rice crackers… every bite had that perfect mix of bright, crunchy, and savory. The house dipping sauces took it to another level.

Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and kind service. If you’re visiting HCMC and want a memorable dining experience away from the chaos, Secret Garden is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

I came twice to this lovely place and needed to repeat the same dishes because they were so delicious! So I highly recommended the khot shrimp/squid and the beef grilled wrapped in banana leaves, as well as the pineapple and passion fruit juice. We ate outside in the covered terrace that is beautiful , but indoors looks very nice too. Fair prices for the quality and atmosphere. Really recommended!
Card payments accepted without extra fees 🙂

As a longtime fan who frequented the original OG location, I was eager to try this new branch. The renovation and decor are absolutely on point, creating a wonderful ambiance. However, the food was a letdown. Perfectly acceptable, but missing the distinctive, authentic taste

We had a fabulous time at Secret Garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful (explaining how certain dishes should be eaten). The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend .

Can’t asked for a better ambience. Super friendly service and delicious food. Portions is reasonable, so need to order multiple if you’re trying to fill up

A really beautiful and tranquil setting, with friendly service. Food had hits and misses: pork with coconut was too salty and fatty, Hue sampling platter was OK but not special , lotus root salad was interesting, and Tonkin flowers were nice!

A serene place to dine in. The garden path that leads to the restaurant is most soothing and inviting.
The food is excellent. I went there twice, once for lunch and the other for dinner.
After eating, took a stroll along the row of shops selling antiques.

Not a very secret Secret Garden. Service was great and food was yummy! Think local Vietnamese food with higher level of curation. YUMMY! Had the Banh Xeo and the waiters will teach you how to feast on it. If you wanna try local food but not very willing on trying local local joint, this is the place for you!

well simply a heavenly finish of our 4 weeks in Vietnam… we loved discovering the antique street and its unique atmosphere and then saw this lovely garden in front of the restaurant, welcomed by a charming smiling waitress and enjoyed Vietnamese rice pancake with pork, an absolute delight, and the grilled beef salad with mind leaves and rice cracker… next time we will come back with more time and appetite. But seriously, do not miss this!!!!

Excellent find for lunch as we headed for the fine art museum. Their Bánh Xèo was very good and enough for two, I made the mistake of ordering it alongside a squid salad (not as good) and it was too much for me. My wife had the stir-fried beef (ok). That said, very nice location on a street of antique shops and cool set up. Worth a visit for lunch if you can’t do the market.
