The cooked food here was better than you will find at any seafood restaurant. I love that they give the option to fry, grill, or blacked. I got blackened flounder, shrimp, and scallops. The scallops were definitely the star of the show and absolutely delicious, but the flounder & shrimp were amazing as well! As far as the raw seafood, the prices and portions were awesome. If I lived in Wilmington, I would have taken some home to cook later. Please note, this is a seafood market, and smells like seafood lol. Definitely worth trying though!

By far the best seafood I’ve had in this whole area. The price and food ratio was extremely fair and one would say it’s a lot cheaper than some of those fancy seafood restaurants and is better quality and taste. We ordered fried shrimp platter with fries, Mac and cheese, a crab cake, 1/4 lb of peel and eat shrimp, soft shell crab nuggets, and blacken salmon power bowl. Everything was less than $55 for the food. Just go! Also don’t expect fancy seating, this place is also a fish market but that doesn’t bother me.

Had a good experience at Seaview last weekend, plenty of fresh seafood options! The market had an awesome selection as well. Unfortunately, my fried shrimp with okra and fries were flavorless, but there was plenty of food on the plate. The pie was delicious, highly recommend!

Babbyyyyyy! Whewwww! So glad I found this spot! I got a kids shrimp and a Monster Taco! Service was great! Everyone was nice and helpful! Food was Piping hot! Yes! Fries and shrimp seasoned to perfection! I asked for cocktail sauce and tarter sauce. I got cocktail and a very tasty white seasoned sauce! Lol I ain’t have no quarrels about! That Monster Taco!!! The fish was a nice lil chunk. I put that white sauce on it and some cocktail and yessuh!
They have crabs to $2 a piece, dozen for just $19.95. pay a few dollars and get them steamed! You can eat inside too!

Just moved to town and having been driving by this place. I stopped by today to grabbed lunch and realized it wasn’t just a grab and go restaurant, but an actual fresh seafood Market. The smell, was pretty strong, but…it’s a seafood market. I ordered the fried shrimp, fries and okra. It was so good!

Highly recommend this low key gem, the fried shrimp and flounder are excellent lots of options for how you like your seafood prepared. This place is a working seafood market so inside seating is limited and chilly, but there is an outdoor seating area that has picnic tables. Food is ordered at a walk-up counter and served in to go containers. The only way you’re getting seafood served fresher than this would be to go catch it yourself.

Seafood and hush puppies were exquisite. The sides were subpar. Coleslaw was too thick and chunky. I had to take the Mac and cheese home and add cheese to it as the sauce was almost watery and didn’t have much flavor. With the cheddar shreds added it was amazing. I had the best slice of chocolate cake I’ve had in my life there. I did not like that they only had unsweet tea in the cooler. That was odd for Eastern Carolina. The atmosphere was unique. I can tell it is cozy for frequent flyers but for those of us not from the area it was confusing. I thought it would be a full service restaurant but you ordered and received your food at the register. You could then pick a picnic style booth to eat at if you chose but you may be sharing with another family as there are only 4 tables. I wasn’t sure if the tables were even for eating or if it was take out only. I stood around until I saw an obvious regular sit down and start eating. Overall this was definitely a good pick for lunch/dinner/breakfast-the-next-day (huge portion). I live 2 hours away but I plan to make the drive back in the next couple of weeks to get another plate!

I have so many mixed feelings about this place. The actual seafood was great!! While my main entree was the blackened scallops, I had the opportunity to try the fried shrimp and fried oysters — all of was perfect! The disappointment was in the sides — the coleslaw and side salad left something to be desired. The ancient grains and fried okra were pretty good. I made the mistake of trying the salmon and crab deviled eggs — don’t do it!!!

I’m an out of town visitor and my overall experience here was wonderful! The cashier who goes by the name Dreads was very knowledgeable and helped my girlfriend and me make our selection. I have already spread the word about this place and we will be returning!
